Glenn Adamson, Deputy Head of Research and Head of Graduate Studies at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, visited the Lamar Dodd School of Art the week of April 10 to lecture and give student critiques. His lecture, which focused on recent transformations of craft, as viewed through the lens of his experience curating the exhibition, 'Postmodernism: Style and Subversion, 1970-1990,' was part of the Visiting Artist and Scholar Lecture Series in the school of art.
Mr. Adamson was kind enough sit down for a short interview and speak about how craft, and perceptions of it, have evolved over the course of the last century, as well as what might lay ahead as 'hand-made' comes back into preference and popularity.
