Great video mate! Just what I needed to hear… I was a little bit on the fence about using a snap with a swivel but I’ve heard a couple of glide bait guys praise em and now, after this video, I’m 100% sold!

I bought two Storm Arashi glides and one Molix and love them both , they are both super stable and run perfect, I bought the floating Molix so I can add suspend strips to get the perfect sink rate that I want, both awesome glides!

How did you connect the swivel to the clip

I bought a Molix 178 in floating and I use stick on weight to get it to do what I want I also have the Arashi is bluegill because the bait fish were I am are mostly bluegill but now I have to get the Oikawa Mesu color just because it is a pro en fish slayer!

If your on a budget you can go with the bassdash glide. The white shad got slammed for me. They are good baits and good hooks. Yw 3 for 22

Sure, we put it in the description. We didn't get the details on it in the field with Carl but we deciphered it to be a custom job. We don't have the swivel or Fastach clip size though.

@@Wired2Fish I was wondering how he attached the swivel to the clip without a split ring between the 2. Looks impossible are difficult the way the clip is twisted on the swivel end.

What size clip? The link in description does not specify size of clip or swivel. Thanks

Low gear ratio? Really?
@Wired2Fish
Жыл бұрын
Big spool diameters on those reels still provide a lot of line pickup (offset slower gear ratio) while providing the winching power big glide bait anglers like for controlling the fight with big glides.

@@Wired2Fish I fished a low gear ratio Conquest and Daiwa Shrapnel and can confirm a high gear ratio reel is way better for glide baits. And now a days the gears are so strong even with a high gear ratio you get plenty of crankin´power.

100%. A slow gear ratio makes sense for fishing a hud or big soft bait, but a 7:1 will get a lot more out of glides than a 5:1.

In your description/link for the rod you put Miller Rod. It's actually Millerods.

Line retrieve per turn is what you need to pay attention to then the ratio. A Tatula 300 6:1 picks up over 31” per turn because it has a huge spool, come on guys. 🙄

Completely disagree, high speed reels for glides all day, most serious swimbait slingers would agree. Just go make a post on SBU and ask lol
