Much respect to this beautiful sister, with a beautiful soul. As I was watching and listening to this interview, I felt exceedingly proud to be on this spiritual path of Rastafari, a level I'm always at, but it went a little higher during this interview. This world is in dire need of peace and love and it must start with each and every individual. May Jah's blessings of guidance and protection always be with you, my sister. Praises I-tinually to His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I.

@@kkthedrummer8999 Doesn't need to have a biological connection to be entitled a certain title in a family. Sharon never been raised by his biological father at all. From day one, only she knew was Nesta Marley as a father; Then what's wrong for her to be entitled Marley's granddaughter?

A great interview - I went to school at UWI in Kingston one summer many years ago, and began to understand the Rasta culture - much different from the USA - and I think the USA could benefit from understanding that everyone doesn't have to be the same, that differences in color, education, interests, etc., etc., are part of the world.

Bob Marley's mother, Cedella Booker in her interview with Toyin Adekale for Now Production some 11 years ago said she was convinced to switch the name Nesta Robert to Robert Nesta Marley by the passport official when they were processing his passport to travel to the USA with Queen Cedella. According to the interview the passport official told Bob's mum that Nesta is a girl's name. The nickname Bob is a commonly used for Robert because Bob has a palindrome nature. This means that when pronouncing Bob, the name just rolls off the tongue easily.

Who is this young lady mom and dad ? Jamaicans are the decendants of the Ashanti tribe, Zulu tribes, and many other African tribes. All the African that were kidnapped from Africa were strong and brave black blessed beautiful brilliant people who were kings and queens of Africa. We are blessed with resources in AFRICA. We are kidnapped against our will and used abused by the oppressors.

Eloquent expression, Ms. Prendergast. I do not believe in Rastafarian and I know who I am. I acknowledge that the Arabs and the Africans are lines of kings and queens and that is where the Europeans learned about kings and queens.

Yu wrong Donisha!! Bob Marley was called Bob from inception, long before Chris Blackwell, from the days of ''One Cup of Coffee'' ''Simmer Down'' ''Burial'', ''Lonesome Feeling'' ''Hurts to be alone'' etc. I bet Donisha don't know those Marley songs, and yu can't speak about Bob Without talking about Peter and Bunny, can't talk bout reggae music without talking of about great pioneer like Coxon Dodd, Duke Reid, musicians like Jackie Mittoo, Trinidadian Lynn Taite,Jackie Jackson, Brian Atkinson etc. these are the guys who formed reggae music, and be happy to be born in Jamaica, for you would not have been what you are today, I however still respect this interview, happy to know that, you are aware that emancipate yourself from mental slavery---------------was Garvey coined words.
@Happey67

You can only answer the questions that you are asked about. Why should she talk about Peter and Bunny? Who are they? He might have been called Bob from Cup or Coffee but she is saying as an alias for a singer, he was given the name Bob by Christ Blackwell which is really the same as Rob in the industrialized, western world. Lots of these artists and other famous people use alias. Audley, You are thinking too shallow.
