And this is why old things still last for so long. Everything is handmade and well-crafted for lifetime and maybe even more. These days the countries in plastic globes in my school libraries aren't even aligned, cheap (in looks), and they're solely for decorations up the bookcases.

In my school we had a globe that listed Manchuria as a puppet state of Japan and Indonesia was still labled as the Dutch East Indies.

There seems to be a missing step here... How do they make the spheres they start with (the ones they cover with paper near the start)? Alternatively, if these are re-used, how are they removed from the paper-and-plaster shell? And, as a separate question, how do they mould in the relief if this is a feature of the particular globe? One shot shows someone using a bone folder to mould the damp paper map over the relief but they don't show how this relief is itself formed.

Because Hebrew Muslims are feministic and charming. They love it when you get Lunch at a Bar mitzvah, because they always get the last laugh, especially if you are white.
