How do you know they are the best?
@SophiaDerivan
Жыл бұрын
This doctor comes from the standpoint of skin of colour(skin that becomes tanned rather than burnt), which isn’t a huge focus in western medicine, if I’m not mistaken. Her goal is that the skin should not experience ANY irritation because irritation can cause hyperpigmentation. There are studies, that she has talked about in her videos, that record burning of the skin, burning =hyperpigmentation. If your goal is to reduce hyperpigmentation, at this strength you are more likely to do harm than good, having the opposite of the desired outcome. You can use it, you might be okay, but don’t be shocked if your skin doesn’t react well & creates even more pigment. In her video she said that the percentage should be far lower to still reap the benefits but without the side effects. The results will not be as instant, but that’s arguably better than trying to go for faster results but only adding to the problem. Hope this helps!

It’s been a long journey to my current routine, but I’m elated with the results. My goal has always been odor focused though, so skin lightening is just a bonus. I should probably note that I haven’t shaved my pits in 4+ years. I trim with electric clippers or scissors instead, so that could be the reason that I haven’t had issues with irritation.

When I say I don't wear deodorant, actually nothing but shower, and I do not get musky, for months seriously. Idk why it just happens that way.

The doctor is right. Putting glycolic acid under the arms will be a bad idea. Over time, I use natural deodorant, and sometimes, the baking soda irritates my skin. and I have to take a break and go back to regular deodorant!

I was suffering from PCOS I lost 12 kgs from 68 to 56 my other symptoms are almost gone but my acanthosis nigrican didn't go. My neck become light but my underarms are so rough and welvety and dark in color specially one other is just normal I'm so worried about it. I can't use any hair removal cream it irritates my skin so I opt for razor and it works well for me but I want to know can I use glycolic acid 2 times a week and salysalic acid in between cause I watch on a video in which they said it will help to improve outer layer of my skin and my underarms will be even in color and become light in time. Anyone here to help me out should I use it or not.

Hi dr vani❤️ I really want your reply.. I've been using cetaphil cleanser, niacinamide serum(minimalist) and cetaphil moisturing cream..but it is not doing any good on my combination skin....what should I do???
@msf8297

What do you mean not doing any good? Use actives based on what your skin care concerns are. If it is acne: Salicylic acid; hyperigmentation: Azaleic acid Etc Wear sunscreen So maybe what are your skin care concerns and she more than likely already has a video on what actives to use to treat them

@@anjanaroy9252 omg please check the ingredient list of your cetaphil cleanser cuz recently they changed their formula! Also in cleanser they've added masked fragrance and skin irritating agents :/ and 10% niacinamide can be irritating to skin. (Dr. has always suggested to opt for 2-5% strength.)
