1. What is data sufficiency? What is the structure of a GMAT DS question?
Any data sufficiency question has 3 parts.
Part one: A question stem
Parts 2 and 3: 2 statements.
The task at hand is to evaluate whether the information given in these 2 statements is enough, is sufficient to decisively answer the question asked.

What are the answer options for GMAT DS questions?
As with any GMAT quant question, GMAT DS questions also have 5 answer options.
A. Statement 1 ALONE is sufficient; statement 2 is not sufficient.
B. Statement 2 ALONE is sufficient; statement 1 is not sufficient.
C. Statements 1 & 2 TOGETHER are sufficient but are not sufficient independently.
D. Each statement is INDEPENDENTLY sufficient.
E. Statements together are NOT sufficient. Additional data is required.
