Some GMTV presentation, promos and ads around Power Rangers, plus a little bit of the morning's pirate-themed What's Up Doc. A really little bit - but it's still worth watching for the nostalgia factor, if not for Mr Motivator's warnings not to try any of the martial arts moves at home. That said, it could be my imagination, but the toy ads seem to have a bit more of a military flavour to them than usual. Still, there are a few Tomy and Micro Machines ones that caught my eye, plus Burger King, Soda Stream, and Captain Scarlet (when the 60s show was being repeated on the Beeb). I enjoy a good Gladiators promo, too. See those wolves, by the way? Same two puppeteers as the Live and Kicking Leprechauns - Don Austen and John Eccleston.
I'm informed in the comments that this clip very likely comes from Saturday, 29th October, 1994, and that sounds about right to me.
Many thanks to David for providing this tape.
