Many will disagree but to me it's his best performance. Excellent movie with 10/10 music, watched it like 10 times and the last battle always gets me.

Private joker what are you on about?. The movie wasn’t even remotely about diversity or assimilation or any bull crap like that. The movie was about a US military captain who was psychologically damaged by his actions in war, when he sees this way of life which is built upon respect and honour he grows to devote himself to the preservation of that way of life in a rapidly changing japan. The movie was also about a one thousand year old way of life that was under threat of complete eradication by the modernising world which valued profits and expansion more. I don’t see why people like you have to bring modern cultural views into historical movies, The liberal world has already devastated European history and culture and now you try and make actual historical fact about some daft beliefs in multiculturalism.

This is the most beautiful film in the history of cinema, the more I see it the more I like it and I have seen it so many times that I know the lines by heart.
7:44 minimum CGI, no wonder why this scene was so convincing.
