Go! by Marillion - Keyboard cover played in my home studio on Korg PA5X.
For the 75th performance on my YT channel I picked a song from one of my favorite bands: Marillion. It's not very well known I guess, maybe my version/interpretation will inspire you to have a listen to the gorgeous original. I created a shorter version without the extremely beautiful guitar parts played by Steve Rothery. Way too difficult for me to even try to reproduce his sound on an arranger keyboard.
The Style I've used is Love 4 All at 57 bpm. Two pads are used as well: Sq Synth 4 (looped) activated after the intro bars and then kept playing the rest of the song. And Moving Bell, a one shot pad triggered at the beginning of the first two verses.
Three Keyboard Sets are used in this performance:
KS 1: Sine Wave lead synth in Upp1, Phat Saw Lead in Upp2, Upp3 muted, 80's Mellow Pad in Lower.
KS2: Phat Saw Lead in Upp1, Port Whine in Upp2, Synth Voices Pad2 in Upp3, Matrix 12 Pad in Lower.
KS3: StringEnsemble DNC in Upp1, Synth Strings 1 in Upp2, 80's Super Pad in Upp3 and Super Sweep in Lower.
Except for the two pads and the tempo, the settings are almost the same as my performance of Always The Sun by The Stranglers. With just a few adjustments you van create a new feel to a song.
