Fairy Mountain, Xiaobaiyue No. 33, Taiwan. Located at the junction of Shitan and Nanzhuang, it was formerly known as "Hongmaoguan Mountain". The name of Fairy Mountain comes from the legend that there is a spring water halfway up the mountain that can cure diseases. People went to the mountain to ask for the spring water to cure their diseases. Therefore, Hongmaoguan Mountain was renamed Fairy Mountain and the spring was called Fairy Water. Temples, Lingdong Palace and Xieling Palace were built to worship it.
Next to Xieling Palace, there is a road sign carved on a stone to the top of the peak. From here on, the path becomes natural and primitive. The peak of Fairy Mountain is located on a cliff. The path is built according to the mountain and is also narrow. There are often ropes provided along the way. Used by mountain friends. After passing the balcony pavilion, there is the main climbing area, which becomes narrower as you go up. You must use your hands and feet or pull a rope to move forward.
The view from the top of the mountain is wide, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountain ahead and the mist and clouds, and feel the fairy spirit of the fairy mountain. The platform is small and can accommodate more than 20 people standing on it. There are only trees around the top as guardrails. Please pay attention to your steps for safety.
The planned route this time is to start from the right side of Lingdong Palace, pass through Xieling Palace and reach the top of the mountain. Go straight down the mountain past Wangyang Pavilion (coming up the mountain from the left), and return to the left side of Lingdong Palace. Go right and left and go back to the small O shape, totaling 1.53 kilometers and taking 2 hours and 40 minutes (including shooting and playing).
The original comprehensive path consists of raw trail, tree roots, bare rocks, and cliffs. It is a bit exciting but fortunately it is short and will not cause stress or fear.
Kind reminder:
1. The top of the mountain is so fairy that it can get foggy easily. It is recommended not to climb up later than 8:00AM.
2. Take a rest on the stairs from Temples, Lingdong Palace to Xieling Palace. (In order to climb farther)
3. Wear wear-resistant non-slip hiking shoes or off-road shoes
4. It should be sunny for at least one day before going there (Personaly, we don’t like the wet and slippery ground & the hand ropes are muddy)
Enjoy !
