Thank you so much for this information. I invested in the £18.69 Amazon one (19/5/23) and it didn’t disappoint. It’s very accurate and the metal & AC modes were a game changer. I’m terrified of a drill hitting a live wire, gas or water pipe 🤦♀️

Great video mate. I'm putting up a couple of large tv's using a wall vesa bracket and I've got my hands on a stud finder but was struggling to work out whether they were vertical or horizontal pieces. This should help! Liked and subscribed :)

Oh good on you Ivan👌 yeah typically the verticals are ‘studs’ (load bearing and perfect for supporting a heavy tv/bracket), the horizontals are ‘nogs’ (not ideal to use for screwing to but you can if desperate). Best of luck. Kent

I forgot I left this video up. I came back after a while with it paused @ 4:02. Your profile looks a lot like Julian Lennon to me, the son of John Lennon. 😁 Thanks for the video, I bought the one you are using.

@@dazhutchy823 no shit sherlock if that were the case. But the nails or screws are usually at the top or the bottom of the stud to the floor joist/stud. Never in the middle of a stud. This is why I asked

Never apologise for using metric. It's about time our 'merican friends caught up with the 21st Century, swallow their pride and go metric finally like the rest of the technologically advanced world.

You are the elusive stud that WE HAVE ALL been missing all our lives!! So glad I found your video. You are a genius! Do you have any idea how many studfinders I’ve tried… and they have never worked! I have dozens of unnecessary holes in my walls. And this whole time all I needed was a strong magnet??? 🤯🤯🤯 The new studfinder I just bought did not work, but I used two strong magnets I had on hand and drew a line between them and I was able to identify the stud easily!! You should make a KZitem short, Instagram reel, and Facebook post on this… you will probably go viral!! Brilliant! My teenaged daughter is planning on telling her teachers about it tomorrow because we were so astounded. Thank you for this - life changing!! 🤗😊

really? This is fine for recent construction. Try it on a 120 yr old wall in a NYC tenement with plaster and lathe construction. Even the "nail test" system doesn't work let alone the acoustic. Hello?

Oh dear, sounds like you have your work cut out for you JJ! There is a ‘adjustable depth’ to the magnetic field that you can adjust on these units which helps in the situation of varied cladding thickness. best of luck mate🤞 Kent
