Hey Jim, Good video, I like your basement setup... Just a couple of questions, I see you already are using a Victron MPPT controller why didn't you just keep with that brand? When I look up the specs on the GP controller it has no mention of adjusting to LiFeP04 batteries.

You made a great catch.....I have since moved over to the Victron 75/15 for these portable panels. :)

Hi Jim, I'm a fellow Heartland owners forum\club member. Loved this video, I'm just getting into the solar we don't boondock much but just want a little for travel day charging. Keep up the good videos.

Good video. The unfamiliarity of solar and not having an RV that has solar connection already built in has always stopped me from adding solar. I'm wanting to add something just like this, that is portable and I can't connect directly to my batteries for a small charge while camping. Is there a portable type controller that will go with this type of panel?

Howard, you can use either PVM or MPPT controllers. MPPT will provide better performance, but they cost a bit more. This is a GREAT entry level MPPT controller from Victron. This comes with integrated Bluetooth, so you don't have to wire a controller inside your RV...you just use their free app and presto...it works! battlebornbatteries.com/shop/victron-smartsolar-75-15/?afmc=rvt_01
