As an older gentleman, I can say the disrespect is real. I have been fortunate to get through 2 attacks on my person by young thugs. They will both remember me and fear me. I don't take any crap. I may get beat down, but they'll regret the encounter!

Courtney I served in the Army 1977-80. Proud of my service was actually Fort Campbell soldier of the year 1980. It warms my heart to see a younger person like you show your patriotism. Your tears just shows the love and respect you have as an American.

Vince Gill met Tim at a show when he was leaving. He came back to tell him how he liked Home Free's cover. This song is beautiful with the addition of Amazing Grace. There is a live version at a church by Country Rebel where the heartbreaking military video doesnt distract from the sublime harmonies.

I served (70 - 74) at a base right next to Arlington Cemetery. There was just a low stone fence to cross to be in the cemetery. I would often wander through and investigate the site and watch the changing of the guard. When the lyrics talk about ‘when the angels hear your sweet voice singing’ I remember when my husband passed, someone said ‘he’s singing in the heavenly choir’. The first thing I said was that they better put him in a back row, ‘cause he can’t carry a tune in a bucket.’ Strange sometimes what our first response can be.

Dont be embarrassed because you cry. I do the same thing. I have been to Arlington and watched the Changing of the Guard; to all 3 September 11th sites (before the memorials were built..very emotional); and going back in years, to Gettysburg where family members fought against each other. I come from a family of military members: my dad (Army Air Corps, Normandy); my youngest daughter (Air Force, Iraq, Afghanistan, Oman, & Qatar); a cousin who served in the Navy; 3 cousins (Marines, Desert Storm); a nephew (Army, currently serving); and my oldest grandson (Air Force, currently serving). Unlike the gentleman in this video, my family members came back to welcomed arms. May i suggest HF singing Land of the Free and God Bless the USA (there are 2 videos to this song. An older one with HF at Mt Rushmore and one with Lee Greenwood and the United States Air Force Singing Sargeants).

It's a sad song, and their video telling a story is also sad, it's expected to feel sad, so don't apologize. they sang this at one of the concerts I attended and much of the audience including the friend I was sitting beside were sniffing. They sing it so beautifully and it's heartfelt and most of us watch reactors hoping for true reactions of the song and video and you gave a true reaction to the video.

There is no reckoning with YT - someone else posted In The Blood just yesterday with no issues. I prefer to watch the Country Rebel video of HF singing this song live, the video on this one distracts me from the music. The video is a great salute to our lost soldiers, but the song is for everyone we have lost.

The reactor was @gawgia3 that posted it 1 day ago. What's weird is he only stopped it once during the song! I have no idea why YT or whoever blocks them does it. It appears that there's no rhyme or reason.

@@brendasorenson6186 that's certainly what it seems like. And we can go weeks without a HF video getting blocked and then suddenly many of them are blocked, but not consistently. It is irritating to us, but it must be totally frustrating for the reactors.
