The Tau'ru weren't the ones who ultimately brought down the Goa'uld Empire they were more of a particularly irritating pest than anything else. The ones who ultimately brought down the Goa'uld Empire were the Replicators under Repli-Carter as in the opening move she killed the High Council of the System Lords throwing the Empire into chaos.

@@AndrewJamesWilliams Well yes and no. They seemed more of a pest/dangerous wolf, but not something truly a threat to the Goa'uld Empire. Unforntantly though, this wolf had a habit of having a hand in wacking off all the Goa'uld who were about to become top dog (RA, Aphophis, Anubis, Sokar) that the Replicators were kicking down a state that been in some form of civil war for eight years combined with being way more advance than the Goa'uld.

I think storytelling and lore has evolved since the start of Stargate that instead of continuing the series they should reboot it. There are lots of missed opportunities like different factions, defectors, and other SG teams that a fresh series could deal with without the burden of trying to keep out continuity

SG1 left so much on the table to explore the full value of the Stargate Universe. They need to make a series based on the Goa'ulds, the Asguard, the Nox, the Furlings and finally the Ancients and the Ori and that's just on the SG1 story side of the Stargate Universe. SGA also left so much on the table to be explored, and SGU left a few crumbs to explore because of it's short run, but if the writing and production had been on par with SG1and SGA, we probably would have seen more of what it could have offered the fans

How come most or all those distant planets spoke english ? Was it independent origination or was it some time-travel stuff where someone from our time went back in time and seeded all those planets with english ? None of these options really work ,but what is the shows explanation?
@abyssaldragonslayer4389

There was really no in-universe explanation for why everyone spoke English. If I remember correctly, there was an interview where some of the show's creators basically said they hand-waved that part because they didn't want to have to spend a significant portion of each episode where they met a new species or culture having to learn to communicate.
