In this episode, I set out to examine the structures of the thoracic wall and begin examining the thoracic cavity. However, in addition to describing the region for lung auscultation, the punch maxima on the left side and the intercostal structures, I was distracted :-) by showing the extrinsic muscles necessary to transect for thoracic limb amputation, the superficial cervical lymph node, the epaxial muscles and the nuchal ligament. I did finally get into the thorax and examine the pleural cavity, the line of pleural reflection, and the thymus. I will cover the structures of the thoracic cavity in the next episode.
If you find this helpful, please let me know by "Like" it. Thanks!
