Take note of the fact that while part one of this audiobook had a handful of Christians spreading their vitriol in the comments section, the comments sections of the other five parts are filled only with praise. It seems that the only ones condemning this brilliant book are the ones too closed-minded and fanatical to actually read it.

Nyaa nya nyaaaa! Yer death-cult is failing, falling, twitching, and expiring...before an onslaught of islamism. Resist all religious nonsense, but resist islamism as the most urgent and direct threat to the civilisation of the West, which has been hard-won against the retarding effects of Roman Catholicism (finally exposed as a loathsome, rotten clut with fanatical adherents, acolytes, proselytes, and apologists - such as the nasty prune from Albania a.k.a. Mother Teresa) and faces a threat far worse than a Soviet invasion. RESIST islamism while you still can!

QueenDark KingHeart -- I am a prophet... One of the 2 Witnesses foretold in Revelation 11. I can be tested if you have the wisdom, unfortunately you do not... For you think Hitchens is intelligent and correct... Big mistake. Now you may deny me as a prophet, but that only makes you more wrong. You cannot change who I am... You can only deny it without any evidence.

Tucker Gary Why would accuse this man of being stupid? I don’t agree with everything Hitchens, but I am however, able to recognize an intelligent person that deserves a fair hearing. Hitchens deserves a hearing, as well as others that have considered these issues.

Read Ezekiel 33. There you can discover that if ones knows truth of God and does not share it, the blood of those who could have benefitted is on that person's hands. However, if one does share it but it is not received... Then the un-receivers blood is on the hands of the un-receivers hands. Take this further... If one teaches a lie and some receive it then their blood is on the teacher's hands. So this Christopher has all the blood of all those that believe him on Christoper Higgins hands. Not Good.
@AndrewJens
6 жыл бұрын
Hi Terry. That would be figurative "blood" would it? Anyhow, since the point of Christopher Hitchen's book is that man created God(s), I wouldn't lose sleep over your observation. BTW, "Take this further" is precisely a major problem with the Bible; namely that it is a collection of internally-inconsistent stories based on non-eye-witness accounts, without a shred of physical evidence, written by people based on nth-hand increasingly-exaggerated retellings, and definitely written in a way that betrays the fact that the fables and myths are based on the authors' lack of scientific (or for that matter, any real) knowledge at the time of writing. (Apologies to Christopher Hitchens for my clumsy way of expressing a central message of his book. I'm off to wash my hands…)

Heart breaking that the simple minded, delusional world population still believes in the super natural by means of ignorance, force or by choice. We are Goddamned by Religion and the rest of us that live in reality can only watch it all implode. I take great comfort in knowing I will no longer exist at death. The thought of everlasting life with humans, in any plane of existence is horrifying.

It's the dreadful and mean "carrot and stick" modus operandi of Abrahamic religionists (Judaism, Catholicism, Christianity, Islam, Mormonism). The carrot is the hope of everlasting bliss (after DEATH!) of which there is zero proof. Only the corrupt arrogant clergy can stamp your admission ticket as they shake you down for attendance at services, blind obedience, prayers, offerings and tithings. The THREAT is the withholding of "heaven." The stick, is the FEAR of eternal hellfire damnation, even to small children (of 7 years!!). Abrahamic religion: the travesty of humankind by the concept of heritable (!) original sin, an instance of the most severe gaslighting in human history! Modern university evolutionary biologists have shown via genetic back sequencing, that a primordial couple Adam and Eve could not have existed, and that life on Earth began 3.5 to 4 billion years ago, not 6000 years ago. Gaslighting. Threat. Fear. The ignorance of arrogance. The stick is

If the god of the bible had been portrayed as a king instead of a God , he would be remembered as the most evil, mass murdering, tyrannical dictator of all time! Christians give the bible god a free pass because, they say, he is god the creator. I don't see the difference whether man or god. If his actions were evil or immoral, as the bible states, then he'd be just as guilty of being evil as any human committing the same deeds.

Darwin seemingly had little faith in the fossil record as a source of evidence for his theory; it was just too incomplete: ‘I look at the natural geological record, as history of the world imperfectly kept, and written in a changing dialect; of this history we possess the last volume alone, relating only to two or three countries. Of this volume, only here and there a short chapter has been preserved, and of each page, only here and there a few lines.

Those who are full of sins and drunk with ignorance do not know God. God is spiritual, and though He is invisible, He is clearly manifest in visible things as the soul is manifest in the body. LET US REPENT CONSTANTLY AND PRAY. LORD JESUS CHRIST, SON OF GOD, HAVE MERCY ON ME, A SINNER. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1 THESSALONIANS 5:17-18).
