Extremely grievous when I've heard parents say God gave them a child with autism & how he/she teaches them patience. :( As if it's their child's purpose in life to be sick just so they can learn patience. 😥We know it's lack of knowledge of how our loving Father really teaches us-like you taught-but tragic nonetheless. May He lead them to this teaching and open their eyes and ears. So important to test the spirits using John 10:10. Great teaching! So good!

I refuse to believe God is the author of evil, I got a text message saying God allows suffering for growth of faith, which is thought was immoral. Scripture says God is light and in him there is no darkness.... I love this man quotes and goes back to scripture for these matters, faith comes from hearing the message, the message of Christ, not from trials and suffering. If anything trials can drive us away from God if we think he allows it or is the author of them...

This reminds me of when God gave Satan authority to have his way with Job except to kill him. God didn't pour the sickness and torment on Job it came from evil. God knew what Job would do, but I believe he was teaching us not only does sickness or evil not come from him, but these circumstances were used to teach Satan something as well.

I agree with this good word! God does not test or tempt us! Great revelation. It's the devil that tests. The only issue I take is what it says in James 1:2-4. Even if that is limited to just persecutions (and I don't think it is), it is still something God allows for the perfecting of our faith, which is not perfected by the Word of God alone. God allows all kinds of problems and he could stop them if he wanted, but chooses not to so we will have perfected faith and overcome while living in a fallen world. We will see his deliverances if we persevere. "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him from them all (Ps. 34:19). Amen?

When you quote the scripture about God not tempting us…. Ok, I get that God will not tempt us with evil, but I am struggling with the idea that the words tempt and test are synonymous with one another.. I believe God tests our faith and our obedience to Him. I’ve been taught that my entire life.

The enemy tempts us with evil by enticement. We even tempt ourselves, by wanting to do what is evil (lust, greed, etc.) Testing comes through trials, but we know the Lord is watching and knows everything, so we go through trials with total trust in the Lord and even ask Him for His help to guide us to do what is pleasing to Him.🙏🙏🌠🌠🤲🤲

What is the bridge between making an intellectual choice and a spiritual one.
@gary2751
Жыл бұрын
An intellectual choice is based on the knowledge you have. A wise choice is putting your knowledge to practice. A spiritual choice is when you put your total trust in God, and are led by the Holy Spirit to do so. It's when you know that it is according to God's Word, and you are willing to do whatever He's called you to do.📖🙇♂️

Pastor Barry, why would God allow a gruesome evil disease to attack His children and let them go through gruesome painful treatment when He can heal and not stop the devil, when He is a loving Father. Why does God allow devil a created being to have more power to wound us than His protection. People in old testament were punished left and right for sins and it says God doesnt change?

Question regarding eating... Spirit = work with God's spiritual laws, grace, promises with Holy Spirit teaching. Food = work with God natural laws. God gave us whole foods to prosper. The world gave a processed food to steal our health. We know that we live in a fallen world - corruption everywhere. Our food system is corrupted in the same as religion and entertainment etc. My people will suffer because of a lack of knowledge.

It’s natural to be seeing only negative things happening around us and because carnal mindedness will only produce Death, spiritual mindedness will only also produce life and peace. The word of God is Spirit and Life and so like Tanya said, continue to speak the word around him and let him get the word also in any form that he can because that’s what will change what he is seeing. Faith and hope - positive imagination comes to us by hearing and hearing the word of God

Why in the Lord's prayer that Jesus taught to His disciples, it said :" Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil" ? This prayer is what Jesus wanted us to pray to God. So, if Barry said that God does not tempt anyone, why did Jesus say so in the Lord prayer? Thank you. Any way, that verse is confusing. I think that it would make sense if we pray: " please keep us away from temptation." But I am not Jesus. So, I just express my confusion. We need to hear some teachings, explanation about this verse. Most pastors teach vaguely. Thank you.

It is written in James 1:13 that God does not tempt us to sin. If God did tempt us to sin, He would be acting contrary to His holy nature, against His desire for us to be holy as He is holy (1 Peter 1:16) and against all other commandments in Scripture that tell us to avoid sin and flee temptation. In the Lord's model prayer (Matthew 6:9-13), Jesus says " Lead us not into temptation ,but deliver us from evil " (vs. 13) - [lead us away from situations where we are vulnerable and have the opportunity to sin.] God does not tempt us to sin, but allows us to be tested. Whether we are asking God to lead us away from sin or from difficult trials, our goal is found in the second part of vs. 13. "Deliver us from evil (and the evil one). As we go down the path of Life, led by the Spirit, (seeking to do God's will), the temptations of the enemy, and our own desires (to do whatever we want) are always here. But our Lord is more powerful than the enemy (Satan) and more powerful than our will to sin, so we can ask "Lead us not into temptation" and He will help us from doing wrong. -There's a lot more to share, but I'm limited on time until tomorrow. God bless you.👉📖🙏🌠🤲

Remember: Yes, we have been saved from the penalty of sin, and are headed to Heaven, but we still have a life to live here on Earth. We still stumble and fall, but we are to ask the Lord for forgiveness and get back up and continue our walk with the Lord as we go down the path of Life.👉📖🚶♂️🚶♀️🙏🙏🌠🌠🤲🤲 God bless you.
