What an inspirational interview. There's so many parallels between what happened at Mark's UMC and happened in my church. The vote here was 50/50 that included "ghost members". Even so, about 20 of us started a new congregation that's grown to about 50. We are now a GMC church and have received more blessings than we can count. GOD IS GREAT, don't be afraid to step out in faith.🙏🙏🙏

Praise God! He is so faithful to His people who are faithful to Him! There are a few places in N. Georgia who went through similar tribulation--McEachern, Conyers, Griffin, LaGrange and Madison--and everyone one of them has come through it on fire!

My cousin lives near LaGrange, Georgia. Her church, Hamilton First disafillated. Unfortunately, there were only a few members before disaffiliation, and no growth. They did not go GMC. They might be the only church in Harris County that disaffiliated. I could be wrong.

Thank you Jeffrey for this illuminating interview with Mark Weekley. I think it's one of your best and most important. It truly shows what righteous believers led by the Holy Spirit can and will do in the face of seemingly daunting challenges. It was great to hear Mark say that your video ministry had been a blessing and encouragement to his flock. I felt that way from the first time I stumbled upon you. May the Lord continue to bless and inspire your efforts.

Let me be Frank. I also went to seminary in the early 90's at United in Dayton Ohio. The school was filled with feminists and liberals. Traditionalists like me were shunned ridiculed and attacks. It was a terrible experience. Many younger students had their faith destroyed and left defeated. The seminary mentality has now taken over the entire denomination. The intention is was and has always been to destroy. God help us.

You hid my comment a little while ago and I do not understand why. Read Paul's epistles to the churches on this form of sin. My comment is in line with scripture; refer to 1 Corinthians 6:9 and Jude verse 4. The UMC is in rebellion against God's righteous law.

I posted a comment earlier in the day talking about problems I witnessed at Blair Road Methodist Church, the UMC formerly pastored by Mark Weekly, now pastored by a pastor who preaches apostasy and affirms sexual sin, Rick Schilling. The comment is still visible when I'm signed in but when I'm signed out of KZitem it's invisible.
