Needed to hear this. I got a degree in a field that I was pushed into even though I hated it. At the time it made sense and was practical. But now I dread working in this field and get super anxious over it. But I need a job now to support myself. I feel like I've made a huge mess of my life. I really felt like I had completely ruined God's plan for my life. That His Will for me has been ruined. But I know that God still have a plan and will for me. And His timing is better than mine. And He can work things out for His Glory.

Hey I’m in a similar, yet kinda opposite position! I’m 17, and I don’t know what I wanna major in. I’m afraid that I’ll make the wrong mistake. I don’t even know what I wanna do with my life. I was wondering if you could give me some advice? :)
@kimberlychristine9284

@@trahadbad Hi, I will be glad to share my story and advice. It is so hard to know who you are and what you want to be at 17/18. I sure didn't. Mistake #1 was that I didn't fully research the degree I was going for. I went for physical therapy because my family and friends talked about the good pay, benefits, and how I'd never be without a job. And every website told of the pros. I now wished I had gone in reddit or KZitem to hear from actual PTs to hear the cons. For me, the cons outweighed the pros. Mistake #2 I didn't know myself. I was a people pleaser who lived to do what others said I should do. I didn't think it'd matter when it came to picking a degree but it did. I learned after much self reflection that I'm an introvert and a creative soul. And my degree involves talking to people all day and having to get close and touch them which makes me uncomfortable. Mistake#3 I went into it for all the wrong reasons. It was never my passion. And it's obvious to everyone now because I dread talking about it and get anxious. So, I've always known since I was young that I wanted to be a writer/creative field but people crushed those dreams saying you have to know someone to make it. So I gave up that dream then. I just did a free career aptitude test online and found graphic designer was a perfect match for my personality. I now wish I had discovered this at 18. Because I would've gone for a bachelor's in graphic design while also writing on the side. God has made it clear to me that He wants me to be active in creative field some way. So my plan now is to work but write/ create on the side. And maybe even go back to school for graphic design. My advice to you would be to #1 pray, lay your heart out before God and ask Him to reveal His perfect will for your life. #2 Spend time in the Bible to know God better and to identify with Biblical characters who are in a similar situation as you (Abraham and Joseph are good for dreams). #3 Discover what gift it is that God has given you. Your gift is something you're good at, enjoy, and will glorify God. #4 if you're anxious, super confused about something then it might not be from God. I've found that God gives me a peace about doing what He wants me to do. Keep praying and listening. No job is worth it if you're unhappy. I'll be praying for you. I wish you the best. God bless. 🙏😀

@@kimberlychristine9284 wow. Thank you so much for this! I’m currently struggling with the exact same things you were. People pleasing, not knowing myself, following what my parents want, etc. it’s definitely a journey. I thought nursing was for me because of a vision I had where I was helping a sick elderly woman, but mostly because my mom wanted me to be a nurse. I also feel like I have a creative side. Not sure in which way but this comment inspires me to deep deeper and find out what God has gifted me in. Thank you so much. God bless. He’s not done with you.

I love the comment about others seeing you welcoming in people that others would think you would not be welcoming toward because they are not believers. Recently my sister had a conversation with her supervisor, who is a practicing witch, where her supervisor told her that my sister is so mystifying to her. My sister asked her why that is. Her supervisor's response was, "People like you (she knows my sis is a Christian and holds ministerial credentials) are not usually nice to people like me!" My sister's reply was, "Why wouldn't I be nice to you? You are a blessing to me because you taught me ways to become better at my job and up my productivity. That's a blessing and I am thankful for you." Light shines brightest where it is the darkest. It shines even through the TV screen into some very dark households. Keep being a light and doing all that your hand finds to do wholeheartedly as working for the Lord, not man.

Ok thank you for having Erin on. Love her as a sister in the Lord though I did not know that while first watching her & Ben. As the other commented they were a breath of fresh air and the loving bond that these two had was displayed without words. The way they looked at one another holding hands it was so tender & sincere. My husband and I wanted to keep watching them. Then I started following her on Instagram and the nice surprise came when she shared their love story but posting type written notes that Ben sent her in college. Oh I was taken by him, he signed them Big, a nickname. She shared an insight into Ben and her. It was lovely. I am saving this podcast and I got my journal out to write my blessing today at 8AM. Thank you Kori and Erin.💕

Thank YOU BOTH SO MUCH💛For sharing such an amazing hour podcast!!!!! Korie & Erin you ladies are ladies if Grace & so humble as you share what God has & continues to do in your lives!! I loved hearing some of your journeys with how the Lord is using you and your families! You inspire me to take my car out of “park” and put it in “drive” so Jesus can lead me to what He wants me to do next…heard the saying many years ago “God can’t steer a parked car” and it’s so right. We have to allow the Lord to use us too. The best way to know is to be in God’s word even more & to say yes to what he wants to do. I love the social media chat ladies!! As a Homeschool mama to 6 sweet children (just graduated our 2nd young adult myself in June). God has a plan! I never dreamed I could homeschool….but hubby & I both had Horrible public school experiences growing up….kids were so cruel!!! Erin like you we never fit in either. The blessing of this now is since we’ve homeschooled all 6 of our children (4 more to go) alll our kiddos are outgoing, they love talking to people, they are creative, awesome and fun people’s to be with!!!! My biggest tip for mamas to younger children is to raise children that you want to hang out with now & as adults! Our whole family has fun “hanging” out! No one’s perfect but we laugh lots in our home!!! Pray together, share Jesus & live life well together! For any mama reading this and possibly thinking of homeschooling Just DO IT!!!! I cried so many times trying to make decision when our 20 year was a toddler about it we should homeschool …and everytime I said “no Lord” lol. God was like “yeahhhh”😂😂😂. I am not a traditional follow the rules for school person…I don’t like math etc…but GOD!!!!!! Yep! He’s Amazing!!!! & with Christ ALL things are possible! Even homeschooling our kiddos;). BEST Gift ever is the time I’ve had with all our kiddos. Just thought I’d share…we own a construction company with 13 employees 2 of those are our oldest children. It’s SUCH a Blessing to see them thriving in their gifts! We work hard to fit the job to what suits the gifts they have. God Bless you lovely ladies & Sadie enjoy your sweet babies!!! ❤ Blessings, Shannon. 😊

When Jesus was hung on the cross there was two criminals. One made fun of Jesus for calling himself the Son of God but the other stood up for Jesus and even said “don’t you fear God? Since you are under the same sentence? WE are punished justly, for we are getting what are deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom” Jesus answered and said “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”- Luke 23:40-43 You are never not worthy of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviors love, grace, and mercy. Needed that title. He gave me a sign when I asked for a white dove to know if a certain person was supposed to be husband by certain day and came upon a 2 rock pigeons building a nest. I assumed and still assume someone else caught his eye after settling w the sign because rock pigeons are ancient and natural unlike white doves after researching. But obviously rejected after what his actions showed me. So i asked today about someone else and gave it a week and this time wanted a white dove no other sign was going to cut it. I think i did see one or a whole flock too but unsure because i was driving and couldn't see to confirm long enough. I d k. I guess ill be patient. We women dont need the man. They need us. So the title caught my eye. Both signs were rare and absolutely beautiful. I guess when uncertainty comes along its not mine to choose. I hear the whisper of the first guys name. Its usually my name but all ive been hearing for alomost a year is "it's( guys name)
