”My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me,is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:27-30 We can’t do anything to earn salvation, nor anything to maintain it. He does it all & holds us in His hand. He gets all the glory.

The first part of that verse says that sheep who continue to hear God's Voice and follow Him will be saved. It does not say those who choose to stop following will continue to be saved. We can never earn salvation (Eph. 2:8-10), but Scripture repeatedly warns against Christians who have been saved, walking away from God and losing their salvation. This verse is just one clear example if we let the Scriptures be the authority and not our opinions. Notice in this verse following, written to Christians, one brother is encouraged to save another brother who has wandered from the truth. God calls that christian who was once saved and has strayed a sinner who's soul needed to be saved from spiritual death and have his sins covered. James 5:19-20 Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, 20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.

@@TheAuthenticChristian Actually, the verses immediately before says " So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.” *Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name bear witness about me, but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. "* (vs 24-26). He never says "continue to hear God's Voice...." as you stated. He says they hear His voice and follow. The difference is true a false conversion, not works-based holding onto of faith. If John 3 talks about the doctrine of regeneration (being born again) being the result of the Holy Spirit's work (alluded to in Ezekiel 36 with the heart of stone being removed, and given a heart of flesh) and if He is the one beginning the work, he will finish it (Romans 8). He gets all the glory from start to finish in the saving of a believer, sanctifying and glorifying. The warnings in Scripture are meant to keep sheep from wandering away (true), but a true sheep will never leave because it is impossible! It will always draw true sheep back because they know the voice of the Shepherd. Think about 1 John 2:19: it is evidencing that they were truly never disciples because they no longer remained. John 6:37-40 "All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” I am passionate about this because I believe God's deserves every ounce of glory for doing the complete work of salvation. And we can have assurance of our salvation because He who has begun the good work WILL complete it. It isn't my hold on Christ that saves me, it is His firm hold on me. Soli Deo Gloria!

Serious question: If you can lose your salvation, how can you know you lost it? And how can you know if you get saved again?

Great question! The Bible teaches for a sinner intially to be saved from their sins by the blood of Jesus they need to 1. Believe in Jesus and His Death, Burial, and Resurrection (John 3:16, 8:24, Romans 10:9-10) 2. Be willing to repent and turn from their old way of life and sins and follow Jesus to the best of their ability (Acts 17:30, Acts 2:38). 3. Be willing to confess Christ as Lord Romans 10:9-10. 4. Be baptized/immersed fully in water to reenact the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. In doing this, one places their faith in God's promise to cleanse their sins when they obey God's command the be baptized physically, and spiritually they are cleansed of all their sins by the blood of Jesus. (Romans 6:3-4, Col. 2:11-12, Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16, 1 Peter 3:21). This puts a person into Christ (Gal. 3:26-27) and adds them to the body of saved believers called the church (Acts 2:43,47). After this is someone sins, they have to do what the Bible tells Christians to do to be forgiven of sins, which is repent and confess those sins to God in prayer and ask to be forgiven. 1 John 1:6-10 explains this and notice all 5 verse begin with the conditional IF, then statement. One can know they are saved 1 John 5:13, if they do the things the Bible instructs. For more information or to study the Bible, contact us at Info@GBNTV.org

@@TheAuthenticChristian I just wanna let you know that you didn’t answer my question … And let’s look exactly at what salvation is It is the crucifixion of the flesh and the resurrection of the new man in the believer It is being born again So are you saying that the Holy Spirit can be overtaken and crucified rendered powerless the flesh can be resurrected again after it has been crucified, render powerless?

@@eagleclaw1179 I will let the Scriptures answer this question. This passage in context is about someone who leaves Christianity, not someone trying their best to follow and stumbling. Notice the willful sin is leaving Christianity and the writer via the Holy Spirit tells them they had formerly endured suffering and they need to strive to remain faithful and endure and not to cast away their confidence. We must let the Scriptures guide our beliefs. Hebrews 10:26-36 26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The LORD will judge His people.” 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. 32 But recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great struggle with sufferings: 33 partly while you were made a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations, and partly while you became companions of those who were so treated; 34 for you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven. 35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

@@eagleclaw1179 agreed, your question wasn’t answered. It is impossible to lose salvation. They are suggesting you lose it by your works; if you aren’t saved by your works, you cannot be kept by your works. It is not our hold on Christ that saves us, but His firm hold on us. ☺️ thankful for His blood shed on our behalf; that it is powerful enough to save us completely!

@@eagleclaw1179 John 10. The sheep in the sheepfold is conditional. Can anyone snatch the sheep out of the shepherd’s hand? No. Can the sheep leave on its own accord? Do we have free moral agency to do that? Absolutely. Sheep hear and follow the voice of the shepherd. Is that something you do just one time? Or is it an all encompassing all-the-time thing? Well, Simon the sorcerer in Acts 8 was a sheep who listened and followed (Acts 8:9-13. Simon in verses 18-23 acted in a way that put him in a dangerous situation. “Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you. For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity.”” Acts 8:22-23 Let me ask you this question. Can a man go to heaven, whose heart is not right in the sight of God, who is danger of perishing with his money, who is poisoned by bitterness, and bound by iniquity? Also, Aaron or Scott mentioned 1 John 1:6-10. In verse 7 a conditional statement mentioned is, “but IF we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin…” What happens IF we DON’T walk in the light? Is there fellowship? Is there blood that cleanses? We make mistakes. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, and that’s the measure of our life, then I would imagine you’re good… according to God’s word. But if you think within yourself that you are not walking in the light, then you need to repent like Simon did in Acts 8 and pray to God for forgiveness. Or depending on the publicity of your sin, repent in that same manner. All of that is contingent on being a brother or sister-in Christ in the first place. These examples were all of those who had already obeyed the gospel. Glad I can help!

Idk man.. as much as I know God is all powerful and devil is not.. the devil and his principalities know how to take it away through meana God is ok with... we know darn well some sheep are weak and if the wolf knows how make you depart then would you still be at fault of the sheep? Could we still say the Devil cant snatch God's sheep? Just saying can't blame those who are not strong enough and God isn't planning to help..

We agree there are some sheep (christians) who are weaker than others. The Bible does tell the strong spiritually to bear the burdens of the weaker brothers as well. Gal. 6:1-2. Hoever, there is a difference between a weak immature sheep trying to follow and being tempted and God watching over them, and a sheep that knowingly and willingly walks away from God and has no remorse and no repentance for their sinful lifestyle. That is why the Bible warns repeatedly saved people not to walk away from Christ and go back into a sinful life. We have done many programs specifically on this topic where we go through dozens of Bible passages. The main one we have tagged at the top of comment section.

Not at all. The Father is always there for us, but every parent when the child becomes an adult must let the child make their own decisions and face the consequences of such.
