I love Godzilla!!! Cant wait to get my m201 back on the road. I vastly underestimated the time money and work it takes to get one of these vehicles back to life after sitting idle for many years..But its so worth the effort..Kudos to you for reviving yours again..My Braden LU4 winch was tore in half completely from a big ass tree from previous owner.. Lots of structural damage. Managed to repair it back to operating 100% again. Long live Godzilla!

Thanks for the great comment! You're right, lots of work to getting them back up and running! I admittedly have lucked out with Godzilla as far as everything coming apart and going back together fairly easy. Definitely a lot of fun. Good luck with your M201, I love em all!

Maybe you found out already ,but the lever on the winch is your Free Wheel lever if it's not froze up. You shift it then pull cable out by hand. Shift it back to normal for winding in. Your doing a Great Job I have a couple M trucks and power wagon Tom

A modern 4 speed (no gear grinding) & the expensive power steering Maybe electric power steering would make your Great shop truck a fully pleasant drive 👍👍keep the vids coming there great !

2:29 Something rattling? What doesn’t rattle on an almost 70 year old truck?

Love the vids on Godzilla! Ur a patient person and good troubleshooter! Can u give any advice to a fellow Pennsylvanian about buying a 52 M37? I’ve had my eye on one for a few months now but it’s still in its original state… 24 V system etc… hasn’t run in many years but engine turns by hand…any advice is welcome! Keep the informative vids coming! And thanks!

Thank you for the kind comments! I wish I could give you useful knowledge on m37's but these are new to me as well! I'm kind of learning ad I go. I will tell you that the truck isn't as driver friendly as I was hoping it would be and isn't as usable on a daily basis as I was hoping, it's hard to steer and shift and can't keep up with traffic! I say she's more of a parade vehicle...that being said, it's still fun if that makes any sense, lol Mine was already converted to 12v before I bought it and it seems like most owners prefer 24v, but I guess that's personal preference. Vintage power wagons catalog actually has some good info in it as well, you can download it on their website... www.vintagepowerwagons.com/online-parts-catalog I'd say as long as the frame and body are in decent shape...most everything else can be fixed! Surprisingly NAPA had a lot of the parts I needed. I don't know if any of that helps you, let me know if you decide to take on the 52, I'd be curious what you think about it! Good luck! Steve
