Here in Tokyo, I’ve already gone through DolbyCinema, IMAX and also 4DX after a normal big screen, but it seems I’ll have to splash on another 2,000 yen+ for the newly edited Godzilla -1.0/C that’s coming next January. Good grief, costly… well, but, actually, Can’t wait to see it! King of the Monsters reigns!!

Great discussion! The historical accuracy of the equipments and context is quite impressive actually. The aircraft is one of the three prototype that did the test flight and went to the smithsonian. The tanks also were prototypes very close to production had the war continued. The four ships at the end were war compensation to each allied country (US, British, China, Soviet). Thus one could say it was returned to Japan to fight Godzilla, an international coalition of sorts. That ejection system we are familiar today was not yet fully developed in most country including Japan (mostly in Sweden and Germany at the time) was why it was in German. Tachibana, the mechanic basically gave him the “choice” to live. Whether he would pull the lever to eject or not was left for the protagonist to decide, ending his war. The end, her survival must be linked to g-cells in her, and for potential biollante in the future.

This may be the most informative genuine comment we've ever received. Thank you for being a good human! Honestly now that you've mentioned it , the movie has just become even more impressive in my mind. Was there anything that stuck out to you as historically inaccurate?

Thank you for your kind words! From the trains, to the clothing, food, hair styles, look pretty much spot on. That building with the reporters with the clock is a famous building in Ginza, and is still there (after few changes) selling high-end Grand Seiko watches.@@Nerds_On_TV

It was in the neck, it was a G cell. That's why she survived.

Godzilla Minus One is the unofficial sequel to Oppenheimer. It's interesting to me that not a lot of people realize that. Oppenheimer is a movie about the atom bomb test. Minus One takes place directly after the bomb was dropped on Japan. Does that mean that Oppenheimer 'fathered' TWO atomic weapons. One mechanical and one of flesh?

Godzilla Minus One's defeat is similar to 2001 GMK Godzilla defeat. Makes sense because Director Takashi Yamazaki said one of his favourite Godzilla films is 2001 Godzilla Giant Monsters All out Attack.

You need to stop and think about this movie... At so many points in the big Godzilla take down .. Godzilla had to sit still for 15 to 30 minutes!!!! COME ON MAN!!! The ending SUCKED!!!!
