Short review about this Topic:
*In the article "Godzilla vs. Postcolonial" (1990), King tried to radically redefine how theorists view Native literature.
*Post-colonial might be the excellent term to use to describe Canadian literature, but it will not do to describe Native literature.
*To Understand the term Post-colonialism, the Native literature should be divided into Pre-Colonial, Colonial and Post-Colonial.
*Such literature can be categorized by four terms;
Tribal literature,
Polemical literature
Interfusional literature, and
Associational literature.
*Tribal and Polemical are self apparent.
*Interfusional and Associational are easy to access without having to search.
*The above terms simply replace the other terms. King do not offer these terms as replacements for the term Post-Colonial so much as to demonstrate the difficulties that the people and the literature.
*King's insistence that critical term such as “post colonialism” is not “‘bags’ into which we can collect and store the whole of Native literature.”
