It has everything boshnroll viewers love: Thoughtful analysis ✅ Hilarious misplays ✅ Demolishing delver ✅ Demolishing combo ✅ Maindeck spice getting sided out ✅ Summoning cards to the top of your deck ✅ Hellbent opponent summoning cantrips to the top of their deck ✅ …what did I miss? I have actually been workshopping a Shadownought list myself recently!! Last night i stumbled upon this list on mtggoldfish while I was looking for recent stiflenought showings, and i was so pumped to see you play the very thing i have had on my mind lately and even take it to a 5 - 0! I was playing around with maybe having Fling instead of Berserk, but i do think Berserk giving trample post Dress Down is nice. I am disappointed you didn't mention using Berserk as wonky removal especially for a 1/1 delver or DRC. I was also playing around with having Lazav for slightly higher threat density. Post-mortem lunge could be spicy, too, since it grants haste through Dress Down...but you only get one crack unless you have extra cheese like Slip Out the Back. Lastly, i was sorely tempted by Urza's Saga, but i really think mising wins with the full 4 wastelands is too good to give up.

I know that you don't typically play shadow, but in match 5 game 1 at 1:10:53 wouldn't the better play be to daze the caves of chaos and pick up watery grave. It lets you shock in next turn to turn on the shadow and you get to keep force just in case.
@thekilla1234

Simian Spirit Guide blows Daze out. You could make them have it and it would work more often than not, but it is a much worse situation if they do have it. I think both lines are close. Daze flops to Spirit Guide, Force flops to Fury. We already see a Fury in the graveyard so they are more likely to be able to stop the Daze than clearing 2 Death's Shadows with Fury on the turn we are tapped out. Once we untap everything is fine again because the Dress Down protects the Death's Shadows and presents the sneaky win. Daze would also be good for the reason you described. It's a close decision and I think either of them lead to "if they have the thing we are screwed". Though I prefer the Force line because it seems more consistent with the information we have.

At 1:10:50, why not Daze the Caves of Chaos Adventurer picking up Watery Grave? That lets you play a 2/2 Death's Shadow next turn for sure and you have the option of FoW if they do something completely unreasonable.

dress down is so sick in this deck, it’s like a borderline decent card in legacy as just cantrip + btfo saga + pseudo stifle your opponents’ etb creatures, but the fact that it is also a modal spell that combos with your threats in this deck, and can even entwine on rare occasions and do all of the above, is just too saucy I agree that green splash seems weak here especially since blood moon seems hard to beat and it doesn’t have to be, you could have an island and a swamp in this deck stifle itself was also just okay, as usual, but I’m not thrilled about only 4 dress downs as nought combo-ers, stifle probably fine and pitches to force trying to think of other pairings you could’ve had this league, I think this deck is really good against cephalid breakfast, maybe 8 cast is tough? But idk dress down really good there. Mono red probably not ideal matchup but it worked out this league
