I whole heartedly agree that the sisterlocks page should have a comment section so that comments can be posted about the experience that people have with their consultant. The whole site needs some updating and this is coming from someone who was possibly considering sisterlocks for their child. I love your commentary so please keep up the great work.

I really, really wanted sisterlocks, I eventually went with microlocs. I got them done by a sisterlocks consultant. I went with microlocs becuse: One, the cost. Two, I have returned back to school and don't always have the time to be on someone else's schedule. Lastly, my hair is thick and I know I would've had a lot of locks that I myself don't think I could maintain. I'm happy with them and I have 267, which I did my own reti this past weekend.

I think that would be the perfect number for me. If for some reason, something happened to me health wise and I had to start over, I would get locs in the mid to upper 200s

I have DIY Micro locs and my decision was hard decision and it boiled down to cost and I knew I could do it and it look the way I wanted them to. I love my final results. Sometime I am thinking of combining my locs. I may want them larger. Its all a personal choice for everyone as far as what they want and how they want their locs to look. Great video as always

Me too. If I could do it all over again I would have about 270 microlocs.

If they're not certified on the website, using the tool & If they are promoting that they do sisterlocks, THEY CAN GET SUED.

I have traditional locs, I did my own locs, there's video on my channel, I wouldn't have time or energy, cost for sister locs, but they do look fab.

But growing hair takes effort. There is nothing wrong with taking pride in that especially with the history of black women & hair. So big ups to women who have grown out their locks. It takes effort & it's an emotional journey. I don't think women who take pride in growing their locks are snobs.

Hey Nia 👋 I've been loving all of your videos! Last month I installed my own braidlocs. I went with the diy option because I felt like a sister loc consultant wouldn't install them as small as I would like. I'm sure I will combine my locs in the future though. I originally had 546 locs but I've since gone back and separated some so the count is way into the 600's. I figure it would be better to start off small and combine them later as opposed to starting off with larger locs and being stuck with not liking the size 😕. Thus far, I'm happy with my decision.

The hush hush is frustrating to me. I understand wanting to protect your product, but it makes it hard to be a well informed consumer. Also the certification is not a guarantee from Sisterlocks.

Your locks are beautiful. If I combine it's only because something was thinning out and they needed to be combined.

I agree with you..I don’t see myself ever combining my sister locks. I love them so much and when I was going through the decision process of getting them...I made the commitment to have them forever 🤎 sometimes people ask me “when will you take them out?” and that question is very strange for me because I never plan on removing “my hair” 👌🏾 I really enjoyed the video and BTW: I had me a small glass of wine with you 🍷

I dont like how combined locks look either. If it started 2 look like it would pop at the root, I would loose out the whole locks and braid it over the neighbor one. Idc about a grid but I do wish I did it better when I started out

I'm like that too. We are superior over loc lock extensions. Cause they didn't grow them. But I do have braidlocks because I started off with 13 inches of hair. And I wasnt about to pay over 1k to get my damn hair done, #2 they're too many. I started off with 254. And I did EVERYTHING myself. I braided them and interlock them 2
