Super awesome set up . Very well thought out and installed. Your concentrate clean up system is perfectly matched for the size of the gold you've recovered . Very well done , congratulations. Best wishes and regards for continued success , health and good fortune for the future. Looking forward to you future videos. Cheers from Kalgoorlie Boulder western Australia.

Thanks Dan ! …at the end although, I had to revert back to the trommel as the small rocks were plugging some of the holes preventing the other rocks to fall nicely….but I should try again one day with just plain gryzzili bars ( round and not attached to each other at each end ) Thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe !

Thanks a lot for your comments. I definitively like the aspect of using as much electrical equipment as I can ( pumps and trommel ). Less CO2, less noise. I also have solar panels at home to recharge the batteries. I also try to be systematic and respectful by fillings the hole I dug with the tailings of the trommel. Thanks a lot for watching !!

You are right…the drone point of view is pretty cool in fact….I will do more of those in the future. Seen the flour gold at the bottom of a green pan for the first time is pretty cool as well…I guess that is what they call: Gold Fever….better than COVID-19 LOL !! Thanks for watching and subscribing !!

real awesome trommel. might be nice to add a small lip at the end of the drum as a little nugget trap incase you git to an area with larger gold. love how silent it is. Keep up the great work!

I like the lip on the trommel end….for us here unfortunately, in Alberta, there is no nuggets at all….just lots of very, very fine flour gold. Thanks for the suggestion….you never know and thanks for watching and subscribing !!

First of all, thanks for watching and subscribing ! For the electric trommel…that thing is one of the key of that setup….I just got an answer back from the store I got it from few years ago and….😢….unfortunately, they do not make them anymore….they are extremely tough to find but it is really, really worth it !!!…I will keep looking and I will let people know if I find a similar one….or if other viewers/ subscriber found one, please let me know and I will share the tip. And yes I modified it a little bit: I added some baffles inside, I added some bubble levels, I cut the legs to make it fit on the bottom sluice, I drilled 2 holes to insert 2 long screws to make it stable on the bottom sluice and I added the PVC wash system that you see in the video. I’m from Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦….and our gold is pretty much only very fine flour gold….tough to recover BUT I really enjoy that hobby. Again thanks for watching and subscribing !!

Better than your present matts use old wool blanket it has worked very well for collecting flour gold . Looks like the Saskatchewan river

Hummm…I might use that idea one day…the tricky part is to figure a way to compare 2 different types of mat as the pay dirt quality in the river varies quite a bit…but I will keep it in mind. Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching.

These rivers in Alberta are really called: placer gold mining…the flakes of gold are transported from the original source and they litterally “move” through the river and they accumulate preferably at certain spots in the river. After many years of experience, the gold “likes” the gravel/clay mix, the inside bends of the river, not too deep also…typically the first 1.5 feet. The best method is to dig not too far in the river then you dig towards the shore until you hit the gravel/clay/blackish/greyish stuff….then you follow it parralel to the shore….you will find the gold flakes for sure. Avoid the sand….not much in it and avoid the pure hard clay. Good luck and thanks for watching ! Don’t forget to subscribe !!

The trommel is electric. I run it from a LiFePO4 battery. A battery of 60 amp hr is good for the 4hr+ to run the trommel and the 2 bilge pumps of 1100GPH. Thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe !

Hello sir good job 👏 and how much does the electric machine cost? If you could answer would be much appreciated 🎉
@mrgold7181

The trommel was about 700$, the bottom sluice about 750$…. then the bilge pumps ( 40$ each ), heater hoses, shovel, etc, etc….so you might break even. It is a hobby for me. Hopefully that gives you a rough ballpark of the cost. Thanks for watching !!

I like the term “flood” gold as the flour gold really “move” with the current in the river…I’m digging in a spot that I have dug 4 years ago and there is the same amount of gold !! Thanks for watching and subscribing !!
