I grew up in New South Wales, Australia spending family holidays prospecting and panning. Our efforts were strictly amateur but always in the hope of big finds. Now, many years later I really appreciate watching you share your professional practice. Thank you.

You are so fortunate to have so many gold creeks and rivers going through your claims to pan them also, besides your hard rock mineral samples nearby.Lucky you !

I like the new style of videos that you are putting out. The intro where you talk about what you're doing is nice. Please keep doing that. Plus it's nice to finally see who is behind the lens.

Great video Justin. The filming was much improved and a lot easier to watch. Also, thank you for taking the time to point out the different minerals and such. For someone like me, it greatly improves the video.

You afraid a Sasquatch is gonna jump in your truck and take off? Haha. I live extremely rural but when I go out and hike, I always lock my truck. You never know... Your videos are the best for rock examples. Thank you! I’m still trying to learn what’s what. I suck at it.

As always love the videos. Panning better I see :) haha sorry..HEY SO A SUGGESTION: When speaking to and pointing out the geological features can you please consider adding into these descriptions how the gold ( and other precious metals) would relate? Since so many of the formations are different in many ways speaking to how the gold might be found in each would add to the discussion and relevance. Anyway again thanks for the great videos!

Don't you just hate that when you find a sample or samples that are promising but clearly aren't from any outcrop close by. Then you find the quarry where they came from like 5 km away and most of the mineralized rock has been extracted,crushed,then hoe packed into the road.🙄

I have a question. No native gold, the gold that placer deposits come from, originate INSIDE quartz rock? Or inside sulfide-rock? I am unclear on what to look for when searching for the source of placer deposits.
@911mining
5 жыл бұрын
Placer gold can come from both, if your gold is sulfides usually your placer gold will be smaller. The gold from the creek in the video is from a different deposit up creek. The rock samples contain free mill gold but it's small and running with sulfides so you can only see it under a microscope or jewellers loup.

These volcanic sediments (volcanic tuff ) would they be reheated after deposition or would they have been deposited hot like in a pyroclastic flow?

If I was a geologist.. all those calcopyrite and mineralizaion references might mean something.. You really need to throw in a "That means it's a gold vein" or other information so we uneducated peons can understand what you are talking about!!
