Love watchin' old rockers still able to knock holes in the wall. This album killed me in 1973, still rocks. So good to see such a mix of ages in the audience, too!

I lived on the east coast of England. I went to school with this Dutch kid. In the middle of the night we would sneak out of our parents homes and go stargazing. He had this album on cassette and it was our regular middle of the night go to. 50 years later I can honestly say I have never forgotten him and Vanilla Queen has been, by far (and then some) the most played track in my extensive record collection. I loved Golden Earring. I still do.

Sorry I missed most of their music here in America. Bought Moontan LP in 74 and it was AWESOME but.....they never seemed to tour in TEXAS. So I forgot about them until "Twilight Zone" and then...........until I found this show from 2015. Saw EVERY other great band but am REALLY happy I finally caught this awesome show! Best wishes to George and the rest of the fellas...

Oh but you are so wrong. I saw them in the 70s twice a Dallas county convention center and again at the convention center when they played for KZEW and Zoo world. I even remember them being in studio on KZEW in the 70s where we learned they could sing in English but speaking it was a different matter at the time. I believe it was Charlie Jones who had them on. Yep they played Texas

This song got zero air play until a few AOR radio stations began playing it to play something other than Radar Love. I think they weren't as big in the US primarily because of the language thing, which I understand they got much better speaking English as time went on. It's really hard for a band to tour a lot in the states with not many American hits, and without just a ton of label support which it didn't appear they got a lot of.

Oh your the lucky guy who had it on vinyl. I played an 8 track that I repaired until it was unlistenable. Who dreamed up 8 tracks anyway? Did they really expect the damn things to last longer than six months? Hit a bump going down the road and the deck would start eating the tape and you had to fish it out of the head and hope the tape wasn't folded to much where you didn't have to cut and splice it. People who weren't around have no friggin clue what I'm talking about, but I bet you do. Next trip to the past we will cover FM converters. Lol

No, not all original. Of the band that started in '62 - they were massive in the Netherlands (still are), only bassist Rinus Gerritsen and guitarist George Kooymans are here. Barry Hay was with them by '67 and Cesar Zuiderwijk on drums came on on the 'Golden Earring' album (also known as 'The Wall of Dolls'), circa 1970. But in terms of 'original' since 'Radar Love', yes. This is the first single I got of them...'65, I think, whilst on holidays in their home town of Den Haag. kzitem.info/news/bejne/yqaPrGaAa2Jon6g

WOW!! I have to agree so much with the comment that Radar Love was the worst song on the album. The entire Moontan album is great and I always thought that Radar Love - as great as it is - was the weakest song on the album. This is a rare 5 star album and 5 star every song album. I was 16 years old when I bought this 8 track and I played it over and over in my very first car.
