Can any dog at any age be trained? We have the same problem since Covid happened and we moved to the country from South Florida. Our dog used to see neighbors constantly and never barked! now that we are in the country in Georgia it’s rare for us to see other people and he barks terribly at our neighbors when he sees them. And UPS and FedEx and post office. I’ll be looking forward to videos on that!

Of course!!! Any dog can be trained at any age. I also live in south Florida and I went to ga for the first time last summer and experienced a similar issue. My dogs are very well socialized and has lots of dog friends and friendly with people. We went to the country and they saw no people or dogs. My 2 year old started barking at everything that moved or made a noise. 🙄 Never had this problem before but she was also becoming an adult and taking on the role of protecting the pack. All of my dogs are e-collar trained so that makes my life so much easier when I experience an issue. You need to decide what your expectations are for the dog. I decided that she could alert me when someone drove up. Then she had to sit/down and “enough” was my shut off word. I also have a good “look at me” command when she would bark on a walk. We would pass the thing she was barking at and she would look at me to get a treat. She was a bit barky when we came back to the city but everything translated well. I also took her to “town” in the country (30 minutes away). It’s very dog friendly where I was and she would see other dogs and people walking around. I knew she would eventually be around a lot of people and dogs and didn’t want her reacting negatively so I put in the extra effort to keep her as socialized as possible. I have 3 dogs so having even one of them acting up is a nightmare.

Subscribed recently and have been loving the vids! Question what’s the earliest age I can start a dog on the prong collar? My four month old ridgeback can get pretty crazy on the leash

In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn’t merely try to train him to be semi-human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog.
