I just wish that they had used more of the "X" tracks during the solo missions. The track "Statue X" would have been perfect for the timed bomb on Statue, and "Control X" would definitely be ideal for the part when you protect Natalya. I also feel like "Caverns X" would be really cool for the part when Trevelyan sees you at the end of Caverns.

Just played it for the first time since the early 00s. Listening to the music now, I have sneaking suspicion whole tracks of it were made using a sound module called the E-mu Orbit V2 Dance Planet. I had one in my studio at the time the game came out but had either forgotten or not noticed at the time. But drums, synths, stabs, FX... loads of it.

Very nice video, you did a really good job,i would like to relate a story,i played this game when it first came out and i was decent at it, i did finish it several times, played Aztec and the Egypt level and all that good stuff,in the early 2000s i started playing computer games, dont know about the rest of people but once you start playing PC games for some reason you just dont like consoles anymore. About 5 years ago i started dabbling in emulators and all the oldies started knocking at my door,Mario,Metroid, Goldeneye etc,i bought peripherals for every console and im really glad i did, every time i played a game it was like riding a bicycle all over again till i got to Goldeneye, my main problem resulted in this very strange system of aiming and controller setup, how i breezed thru it back then its a mystery to me,i finally gave up on it and about 5 months ago i decided to give it another go and i think i finally got it down pat. Watching your video and seeing that red reticle all over the place made me glad, its not me or my peripherals, that aiming system IS THAT WAY,dont get me wrong, you played great but it just confirmed for me that that system while not perfect it does work and with some practice is adequate although very strange, precision is not its name, lol, now a racing game with a N64 controller? a thing of beauty my friend.

I can't believe that strategy worked for Archives... the way the game works is that in Archives, every time more than 1 shot is fired consecutively, the game makes a copy of (almost) every guard not in your view and that copy goes aggro, while the actual guard stays in position unless you're really close by. This means that running and gunning like he did should be impossible, as it requires you to fight an endless stream of guards as long as not all of the originals are dead. Because of this, you're supposed to quickly slap the 2 guards at the start and wait for the soldier to walk in (scripted, he is sent to execute you), then you quickly slap him as well. You're then expected to move around taking out guards with 1 shot (won't "break stealth"), reach Mishkin and then go for Natalya, just open the door and book it. She will follow even while the guards are alive and they can't hurt her. Kudos on making it through on a different strat!
