0:46 "Both of us know perfectly well what we're talking about Mr. Bond." I like how Goldfinger sees through Bond's bs and tells him to drop the act. It's rare nowadays to have a villain talk like an actual person in his position would do. Instead they're just glorified thugs with more attitude than wits, or unrealistic psychopaths having pretentious monologues justifying their actions.

does it not seem like a plot hole regarding the whole Golf Scene? I mean really here's Goldfinger the owner of a golf club and then out of the blue some guy shows up to play golf or at the bare-bones minimum somebody has made arrangements for this unknown man named bond to play golf against Goldfinger. I mean if I was the owner of the club playing golf I would want to know what the person's intention of wanting to play golf with me. not very stealth like is it on bonds part?

Gert Fröbe surely was one of the greatest German character actors of the second half of the 20th. century. Being immensely versatile ( apart from playing the romantic lead of course, he certainly hadn't the good looks for it) he was equally as capable in playing convincingly a megalomanic baddie like Goldfinger as in playing light-hearted comedy, like his Baron Bomburst in 'Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang'.
