The yellow coloration is so cool! I just hatched 2 eggs I found in my goldfish aquarium, they are on week 1. Long way to go but someday they'll be big and beautiful :)

Lifewithpets nextime, make sure to grab the fish by hand(this will actually will not harm the slime coat unlike the net) and put it in the large container. After u do it, fill up with water and fill about a half or a whole hight of a fish with water. Finally, hold the fish gently(it won't cause your fish to flop when u doing this) and then use a ruller or a measuring tape to measure the fish in cm or in inches of a fish. When u done measuring the fish, put it back into the tank:) and thats how u measure your goldfish🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠💗💗💗

I rarely use nets for the goldfish. Most of them will swim to my hand! The babies are still learning to do that though. I have to say I'm not too interested in measuring them but maybe I'll do it sometime. Thanks for the info.

Ranchus are a little more easy to look after in my opinion. They don't get so big so you could put 1 or 2 in a 20-30 gallon. But they still require a lot of food and water changes!

Mine are in a 200 gal pond. They have a filter and water hyacinth. Only change water 20% once every 2 weeks. Algae keeps the water clear, rocks on the bottom of pond also collects algae to keep the water clean, same for the water hyacinth's roots.

I was really worried about my fry, the one I kept is four months old and in a five gallon, his custom 45 gallon tank is being made (I've had to wait a month for it) he has daily water changes and I was worried he may be stunted from being in a tank that small, but he's the same size as yours!! Phew! Hopefully his tank will be ready soon and he can move in!!

As long as you’re doing the water changes and good diet he will be fine short term.

Aww, they're so big now, I had 6 last week, one didn't make it but the other 5 are all growing and eating lots, they're two weeks old and look like yours did but more elongated as they're comets. At the minute I'm feeding them brine shrimp eggs and gel food, when could I feed them the bloodworms, they don't look big enough to eat them yet. Thanks

I know this is a stupid question (I don't know anything about fish life 😂) but why the third one died while growing? I mean like when they started to grow that little one didn't start to grow

Sometimes fish have deformities or they can't eat properly. When they're this young it's difficult to say.

My baby Butterly telescop is massive at 3.5mo the old. Still not changed colours at all. Just a bit of white in the tips of his fins. Can you help me as to why it’s still brown. Thanks. All behaviour is normal, eating is normal and his eyes are just starting to bulge out from his face (telescoping). Thanks
