Will never forget the first time I seen this on MTV. It changed my taste in music fundamentally...away from Techno, Hardcore Gabba and Trance...and I never recovered. This track - in my opinion - is the greatest musical piece our species has created...

Man that transition from 93, 94 Urban Cookie Collective feel good dance pop music into the DnB, Jungle era was staggering for me back then. Felt like an entire new world opened up to me. My mood certainly changed as well.

We went from prodigy, happy techno, to deep jungle, dark house, to a deep something I never wanna go back to. I think those was the penultimate track where it all went their different directions.

The first time i heard this song was in 2016 I was working driving a van that photographed buildings i had to pull over to hear this amazing track it was just so good, what a surprise to learn it had been released in 1994. Gold is gold.

Travelled so far to Dublin from way down South to get my hands on this album a long long time ago, such a special memory it connected with me in such a serious level. I still get the this feeling of being high on the clouds when I listen to this album, and the orchestra edition is the cherry on the cake, love this music, thanks Goldie & Diane 😘😘

29 years ago. Wtf. Remember seeing this video when it came out, was in my first year at uni down south, moving from a council estate in sheffield. It reminded me of where I grew up, multicultural area, lots of different music. Great days, now gone.

Before we called it "Liquid" we called it "Intelligent". Anyone remember that? What it shows is that there was always room for this vibe in the Drum and Bass scene. We welcomed that liquidnes, we ushered it in!

@@PashaHeaven I was there form the Beginning Broth, in darkest Streatham. My 1st car a Red Cal Look Beetle in 92 was called "The Junglist". It was famous for that brazen name. Im 55, Im still a DnB Dj. I roll a White CL600 now called "The Roxy" called that for a whole load of different reasons

Just found out the old guy is DJ Fabio's dad. Love Goldie, Fabio, Grooverider & D&B 4 Life. RIP Diane Charlemange your voice was soooo beautiful. PS check out Cyantific feat Diane Charlamange - Don't Follow if you wanna hear her soulfull voice on another D&B banger. I know its from 2005, but it still smashes it just like Inner City Life.

Goldie isn't a particularly good DJ. it's not really what he does. He is rightfully known as an amazing producer of some of the best tracks including this one. It's not my favourite goldie track though that would be Terminator. totally blew our minds with the time stretching

This song and video will always touch me emotionally. When this was released, real life wasn’t too dissimilar to the video itself. Those days life was a struggle. The images of the tower blocks, London pre noughties.

Is he still living in Bangkok? Up 'til about 8, 9 years ago it was a fairly common occurrence to just cross him down the street on a night out in BKK, saw him at least a couple times myself. Who knows what he's up to these days.

It never seemed to cost anything,,,,,I had so much fun in the early 90's even though I was always skint, It wasn't about money back then, it was about having fun and looking out for each other! I felt I was a part of something back then, I wish I could feel that now?
