Great days! I used to go there with mates Tim and Chill from High Wycombe. The Goldmine was the place I first heard 'Deja Vu' by Paulinho Da Costa; and 'Ashewo Ara' by Kabbala.

It was a video shoot for Beggar and Co’s ‘Somebody Help Me Out’ and was filmed at The Goldmine in Canvey Island on a Wednesday evening. Chris Hill was the resident Saturday night DJ ,he asked the regulars to attend the recording and most of us did . The club was usually closed on Wednesday’s but opened for ‘a private function’ and after the film crew had finished Chris Hilly DJ’d into the early hours to a full dance floor .
