Great clip, I have restored Golfs for more than 35 years and this is a common problem. I also have a permanent solution for the doors triggers to restore them back to OEM spec.

Yes. Seen so many Mk1s with the wobbly seats.. And we tend to just drive like that for years :),,,, and it's such an easy fix. Reallly appreciated the sturdiness after I did mine..

ah, the old wobbly seats, been a problem for about a year now. thanks for the quick and easy guide. i have another problem. my windscreen wipers took on a mind of their own the other day, and instead of moving together, started to have a sword fight on my windscreen, now they just sort of stay put, even thought the motor and ram seem to be working perfectly, think it may be where the ram attaches to the wipers. ever had this problem? any advice would be amazing. thanks again for all the awesome instructional videos, you have been a huge help multiple time, appreciate it bra

Hi thanks.. It sounds like the wipers are just loose or maybe it's slipping at the arm.. Did u try refitting them and tightening them down a bit...

@@pjs-golfmk1-diy ah thanks man! so i had a look at the arm, popped off the plastic covers, where it connects to the ram underneath, and yes, 2 minutes later and a number 10 spanner, working as good as new. the nuts just needed some tightening. Appreciate the advice and help man. have a lekker weekend

Hi PJ , I love your content especially the one video in regards to bleeding your system when changing thermostat as I had the issue where it bubbled out of the waterbottle but your video solved it. I come asking a small bit of advise. Very recently my 2004 1.4 mk1 Carb has been developing a small miss around 2000/3000rpm . I changed my plugs and plug leads as well as distributer cap. unfortunately the issue still remains . Any advise as to what I could look into next that would be the issue ? Thanks in advance

@@georgekhumalo5283 hey George. It's best if you take car to a fitment center. They will do an assessment of your suspension, and possibly pin point the component that needs to be replaced.. Some of them may do the assessment free of charge.. At least then u will know what plan of action to take. Thanks
