I never knew Baling was so much hard work. Very impressed by the literal field repairs.

I keep a pair of long nose pliers up near the knotters for pulling out string when it wraps, along with a flat screwdriver for popping the billhook open, and a 10" Bahco adjustable spanner which fits just right round the casting to lift the knotter up without hurting your fingers!

Top tip, get some mag trays for your knotter pins. It’s a c**t trying to find them if they fall off the side

You don’t actually need to thread the top string tho like that and tie it off, if you just put it through the tucker arm and drop a couple off feet in the chamber the bale will take it with !.

how on earth is that twine so expensive? that's absolutely insane! Isn't it almost cheaper to import that stuff in bulk (it's 1.4 USD per KG, i think), and then build a little rig to wind fitting spools yourself?

Love your videos Tom. Do you do both round and square bails? Obviously the square are easier to stack but are there any other advantages/disadvantages? Cheers 👍
