The Friday you videoed this, my wife and I were leaving TX to get back to IL after visiting our daughter's family in Prosper, Thanksgiving week. We brought our travel trailer down and stayed the RV park on FM1385 just north of 380. When we left, we took the blacktop roads the back way into Celina to 289 and went north, I did notice that it was a little breezy driving along on 428 that morning.

We're glad to see y'all again. Me and Connie luckily finished 10/16. Its a battle every year with the ups and oop's! I bumped a tree with the disk mower and few days later the outer skids fell off ,it took a few hours to repair. We use the Rambler app, it shows the average speed and the total miles per day,its a good tool to use to fine tune the operation.Cutting we averaged a little over a mile an acre.Your JD tractor is awesome! Hi nice to see your still making hay this year, it was nice meeting you & your family when we visited Texas 😀 in October, we got home in England 3 weeks ago after driving 6500miles through 9 states ! If you remember I said I ordered a new 6130r 50k Ivt with full suspension, well it arrived this week very pleased ! I've had mainly john deeres for 25 years now, I have had different makes but always gone back to a john Deere ! Can't seemed to attach a photo of the 6130r on here, but will hopefully post a video of it working but unfortunately that will be next year as we don't get your weather here in the U.K. ☹️ thanks Matt & Vicki

A LOT of people have been in that boat this year. We finished baling our hay right around November 1, a few days before our first freeze. But I had a neighbor who didn't finish his until last week. In almost 30 years I cannot recall a time that so many people have been baling so late. It's not ideal, the hay isn't near as good, but we had no choice with the rain that wiped the entire month of October. Better rain than no rain, though!

Hello from the Humid East. Up here in Ohio we do about 15000 smalls for the horse market and this year demand is outpacing supply, been a tough year weather wise. I have a question on the stroke counter, what is it and where can I get one? Wife runs the baler while I pick up and she cannot learn to count strokes. My system requires 10-12 flakes per bale to be consistent and the windrows can be quite variable so she gets as low as 7 and high as 20. I added a flag to the trip arm so it can be seen but she still can't count!

happy to see a video from you guys finally!:) one information to your problem that the the scv´s dont stop (8:34) when you click on the scv on the screen,# there is this big "C" with the plus on top and the minus on the bottom, C means pressure all the time until you stop as you already know, if you push the plus there will be "1s" that means that the scv will work for 1 second until it stops by itself, you can go up to 180seconds and above 180seconds it goes back to the "C". I hope you could unterstand my english skills and i could help you. :)

When u go into the hydraulic settings, make sure the clock is yellow on the Lhs and then over on the Rhs where it has the ‘C’ push up or down and it will turn the timer on. Then whenever you click the lever it will only run for that length of time. Ie set it on 3 sec and it will open the gate for 3 sec and the same to close. Just remember if you reduce the flow then the hydraulics might not operate for long enough, just increase the time to compensate. There should also be the ability to split the flow and time on both directions so u can have different flow rate and time going one way and different for the other direction.

Scott the john Deere baler comment is correct. They are the best for grass and alfalfa. But it comes down to dealer support that makes or brakes you. John Deere dealer support is second to none in most areas. Are hay season is done in the upper Midwest. Very few got cornstalks baled at the end of the Nov before the weather got nasty. Always a sad day when the balers get parked in the shed for the next 6 months.

@@DW-cj3no yep it wasn't me, hired hand. I just got the ck. 506 5×6 large round bales baled in one day with one baler. I do custom baling he was running a 6145M with a 569 John Deere.

There is a round baler engineered so you don't have to stop and discharge the bale. THIS IS VERY inefficient

@@NorthTexasHay Swedish to English translation. Set the time of the hydraulic outlets, so the outlet only took that time, saw that you had No. 1 on continuous oil flow.

Just wondering why every time you go to drop a bale you have to shut your rake off? Is that something you just do, or is it something New holland recommends.
