Have you ever bought a bag of Japanese rice but you just can't cook them right using a normal method? Try this, no rice cooker is needed!
Ingredients:
1 cup rice
1 cup water
(p.s. without using any measuring cup, the water to rice ratio is 1:1)
Method:
1) wash the rice with water until the water appears clear
2) soak the rice for 30 minutes
3) drain out the soaking water, then add water (slightly less than a cup)
4) cook the rice with water in a saucepan on high heat until it's boiled, then immediately reduce heat to simmer for another 12 minutes
5) finally turn heat to maximum for another 30 seconds
6) remove saucepan from heat. Put it on aside but keep the lid on saucepan for 10 minutes
7) ready to eat. Bon Appetit!
