Really nice home, hats off and kudos to the family who maintained it so well for 60+ years.

Houses like this are valued! Realtors too often have an investor mindset: change it, gut it, update it, open it up. There are plenty of buyers who would like it. I would buy this house. The kitchen cabinets alone are valuable. What needs updating is the decor.

I LOVE THIS PLACE and all it's contents. It's a "Home Alone" house. Very precious in every way. I would buy this as is with everything inside unchanged; if I had the money. Even the outside ramp, I'd leave it there. Everyone over 50 needs to protect their joints. I have people in my family who greatly struggle with that. I'm still hoping to buy a house just like this someday. It would be a dream come true. Thanks for showing this darling house.

I’d tap on that Red Buddha. See if it’s Porcelain, clay, or just composite junk from Walmart. Either way someone is gonna want it.

Four bedrooms and three full bathrooms, kind of different for a house this size.

The ramp is perfect for me as is and makes moving my Piano in a bit easier. The living room is a very nice size and would hold everything including my Piano and like the dining room. The kitchen Needs updated and isn't horrible. The bathrooms need cleaning and repainting and most likely updated toilets to be more efficient. I had relatives in N.J. that lived in a 3 bedroom Cape style house that wasn't as large as this place anywhere and they raised from the start 7 kid's in the house. Lived in it their whole married life untill he past away and she was finally forced to go into a assisted living for her last year before passing away herself. That's 7 kid's in only 2 bedrooms besides the master bedroom but they did it and all were happy.

Thanks for the video, Nick. Most houses here have changed over from oil heat. Should be able to sell that house quickly, once everything is cleaned up. Forget the bathroom tile, lots of people love retro, but that kitchen🙄. Microwave/exhaust fan above the stove. Those cabinets look pretty cheap. Sometimes painting is not worthwhile. Anyway, liked the house. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The color of the tiles and the wall paper are perfect, if I had the money I'd move in tomorrow no problem it'd be 1 heck of a long week though going through and either throwing out more deeply personal stuff or making sure it gets returned to it's propper owners. As for everything else it's perfect. The allure of places like that is the dated look for example the wall paper creates that homey atmosphere it kind of depends more modern people don't care about live in situations they don't care about marriage per say that homey style is wasted on them because it's indicative of a newly wed married couple or an elderly married couple that still keep in touch with their family that's what all of those made over rooms say and the live in basement. A nother good example of the houses allure is the brightly colored tiles the blues the purples the yellows clearly the people who designed it were thinking about natural lighting, blues and purples by their nature are already decently dark colors it's the bright variations of the colors that bend natural light and reflect it just enough so you can see without being blinded by the sun reflecting off a wall through an open window, remember glass magnifies sunlight meaning that shining through a window there's always a possibility you can be blinded by a direct rey when you look away you don't wanna cover you're face and you don't wanna be blinded by a reflection of that light, those colors dull the light just enough when it comes in the room that you can see and more to it then that the dulling effect creates a beautiful ambience that makes people feel comfortable like it's home, same with the orange tiles of course orange is on a different end of the spectrum it absorbs and spreads bright light allowing ones eyes to adjust and still be able to see in the process but it's a more brighter color it radiates the light and again creates an ambiance that's beautiful and aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. I would totally move in tomorrow if I could afford it. Aside from the code updates Shoring up the cracks and putting some air freshener in the basement leave the place as is it's perfect. If the working economy out there was fair and I could find a job to suite me I'd even be happy with renting as long as I could negotiate rent payday for the end of the month rather than the first, once I get a job out there it'd take time getting in a stable situation to be able to save up for the rent so the end of the month would be better to pay it.
