I think Holloway could've definetly played in the league, but he had some things about him that didn't make him the best fit for the league either.

6-2 Sacred Heart combo guard (and my college computer-class mate) Shane Gibson faced a similar obstacle to Holloway in 2013, despite being a deadly sniper (career 3.1-7.5, 41.4% 3pt per 40). He finished top 5 in the country in scoring as a junior (22.0 ppg) but profiled as a SG in a PG’s body. Shane went undrafted but signed a Summer League deal with the Kings… who had just drafted Ben McLemore and still had Isaiah Thomas, one a bigger SG and the other a future all-star scoring threat. They cut him before he got any playing time. Repping the Idaho Stampede, he competed in the G-League 3pt contest that Seth Curry won… but eventually a long international career was the best option. He’s won several titles (including 2017 Balkan League MVP) and is still balling in Canada (CEBL) at age 33. Not bad for a kid from Killingly, CT (pop. 17k), but I wish he’d gotten at least one summer game…

The one thing that this channel has brought to my attention the most is the whole continuing evolution of the game itself and how that can really leave a good player behind. Imagine training for something so hard for many years and then realize that you're obsolete before entering your prime. Crazy

Love the channel. Been following for a couple years now. Please cover Scott Skiles & Eric Murdoch... The latter being arguably the most overlooked and forgotten star-quality PG of the '90s. He had only a brief few seasons at the top of his game, but they were quite impressive.

correction to stunt #2: tu did one thing at an elite level: draw fouls and make free throws. he was also a great penetrator and finisher around the basket and in the midrange. he controlled the game with his dribble. he was great with the probing dribble testing the defense until he found somewhere to attack or an open teammate. he was also a dawg and the most clutch player i've ever seen play. he delivered in every single big moment, every single time. i understand why the nba didn't like him, but i'm a little disappointed no one ever gave him a chance to prove himself. there were far less deserving guys that got endless opportunities in the nba and never delivered.

Salute to Stunted Growth for this episode I think the whole Cincinnati -Xavier brawl and what he said during the interview gave him a Label that the NBA at the time was not tolerating he was Legit a Bucket still is Hempstead’s own

Does this new voice make the views higher? I can understand a rebrand, but the voice sounding more robotic versus it sounded like a guy at the barbershop I felt was the actual brand for your channel. Not that tiktok stuff those out of touch content creators make. You even kept the “let’s get it” so why not keep that tone of voice????? Just a listener wondering champ. Peace.

I dont feel the story that interesting when the obvious is right there. If you hear the stats before you hear the height. The first guess is so something off with the size. And usually its the player was under 6'0. The Nba went in another direction some years back now. And that alone hurt a lot of guards under 6'0.

Shit!!!! He was better than people who made it... The NBA isn't always about being the best player... There's politics involved once you get past the draft lottery... There's politics involved before you reach the high school level ..
