Actually, David wore the contacts in EVERY SCENE, even if he had the sunglasses on. Another youtuber went through and brightened the scenes where he was wearing the sunglasses until you could see his eyes behind them, and it changes the feeling of Crowley's behavior DRASTICALLY, but in an INTERESTING way. David was absolutely putting all of his acting chops into it, even when he didn't have to! :V Also, Aziraphale's name is just Aziraphale. Azrael isn't named, but that's often been the name given to the Angel of Death. Michael Sheen's character was just invented for the book. Amusingly enough, the scene with them in the park and Aziraphale practicing his magic with the coin was actually 90% ad-libbed. XD They were going to cut the scene when he said "I can do my magic!" but they kept the cameras running just for the Hell of it and let the two bounce off of each other, which gave us Aziraphale fumbling the coin and Crowley being HORRIBLY EMBARRASSED for him. XD

@@MegaVideoman23 Yeah, The story behind that skull gets even crazier! It was apparently one of the big composers of the old days, who was a massive fan of Hamlet and just wanted his skull to be the one used in the plays from then on, but nobody else felt comfortable doing it. And then David comes in and is like "Ok, sure!" He's so great, when he does something, he really does go all out even if it's not required of him! Like that movie on netflix where he plays a psycho who goes after a bunch of dumb bank robbers or something? When they try and run away from the cops and sneak into his house to hide? I haven't watched it yet, but my also-David-Tennant-fan friends said it'a SUPER DUMB, but he was putting his all into it and it's hilarious for it. XD

Neil Gaiman is great; I only discovered his work through reading Good Omens (like you I was already a massive Pratchett fan and have read all the Discworld books), but I'm so glad I did. He covers a lot of similar themes and ideas to Pratchett but often with a darker, less humerous and irreverent tone, almost reminiscent of the horror genre at times. I have only read a handful of Gaiman’s books but would highly recommend American Gods and Sandman. To me Good Omens definitely feels more Pratchett than Gaiman; I chalk that up to Pratchett being the more experienced of the two when they wrote it.

The Snake is not identified as Satan in Genesis. That is a retcon in later stories. The stories originally did not have an anti-god; that duality of powers was picked up long after. @Yal_Rathol

the snake is actually never confirmed to have been satan in the bible itself. that idea comes from jesus calling the-dragon-called-satan in revelations "that old serpent". which, i mean, he's taking the form of a massive, planet-sized hydra-thing, calling him a serpent would be appropriate regardless, but it also doesn't imply satan is any particular serpent, just that he's old and a snake. "you snake" has been an insult for a very long time, after all.

Aziraphale was always Aziraphale, it's a made-up name for a made-up character :) P.S. No, the book is not narrated by God, it has typical transparent narrator. But you can't really make an adaptation of Terry Pratchett's without using a narrator, you lose too many good lines that way. So showrunners decided that since there has to be a narrator anyway, it might be a good idea if it was God. This show is really a prime example of how books should be adapted. There are quite a few changes but you can see the reason for all of them. I'm not going to comment too much on it now, I'll wait till you're done with the whole thing :)

Just wanted to point out that the band Savage Garden named itself after a quote from the vampire Lestat describing the earth like that.

We were lucky Neil wrote and was show runner. It was Terry's dying wish that it get made. Neil said after the funeral he started writing. Michael was in the Underworld as the main bad guy werewolf, he was Tony Blair, former PM, Frost (Frost and Nixon) and recently Chris Tarrant Who Wants to be a millionaire scandal. April the first he changed his twitter to David Tennant. I've met David, but not had the chance to meet him.

Aziraphale is his angel name (a new name from Pratchett and Gaiman but perhaps inspired from some existing angel names like Azrifel--if I'm recalling that right). He calls himself "Mr. Fell" for humans. The bookstore is A.Z. Fell & co. or something like that. We find out what happened to the third baby in the book.

I'm really glad to see them reacting to this show and I hope it becomes a regular thing for them to watch other really short series that they can get through a lot of quickly. I love Hunter Hunter and the like but rotating through shows that can be done in a couple of months instead of a couple of years is a great way to keep things fresh. Good Omens is a pretty great adaption of the book, there are many things that I miss but there was no feasible way to include _everything_ I loved from the book.

Finding out that one of my favorite reaction channels is reacting to one of my favorite shows is the highlight of my night but I kind of hate being early because now I have to wait for the rest of the episodes 😭 😭 😭

Crowley's demon name is Crawley, I don't think his canon angel name was ever revealed. Azrael is the angel of Death, Aziraphale is the angel of the Eastern Gate and he never changed his name.
