I just picked this BE800 up from best buy for $389 on July 11th. I already have TP-link Deco BE63's in my network and funny enough they all work together very well. I know the two different mess technologies are not compatible but by some wizard magic I'm not getting double NAT or a loop and my interference scans come back as "perfect". The only problem I had is if I set the BE800 up as the main router nothing would work so I just use one of the 63s as the main and it worked great. Awesome channel by the way

Thanks for the info! My assumption is you are running the BE800 in access point mode?

Brother I honestly hope in the future you do add tests with 1 wall and 2 walls obstructing the router and testing the speeds… this will show so many people the exact power of how much strength each one gives out… I honestly hope you do this because a lot of people would love to see these test results.

I do that with my mesh testing, it needs to go through a few walls to get to the other node.

I'm debating to pick this up. I have 1 up 1 down and currently using wifi 5 router with 6e mesh. Wired connection gives me 885 down and 700 up. I'm thinking i get this router, I'll get full 1 up and 1 down and my wireless will jump from 500 down too.

Thank you for the video. One more time, you impress me by your knowledge and your professionalism. I don't have the budget to buy a router like Archer BE800 but my Internet speeds are very low. I have 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload ; which router in budget I can get to improve my Wi-Fi connection ?

Comparing the wifi 7 premium routers (non mesh/orbi 2k+ dollar systems...) which one do you like best? Netgear Nighthawk, Asus RT/GT, TP BE800/BE900?
@landpet
Ай бұрын
For the price for non mesh, I really like the GE800 (not to be confused with BE800) from TP Link. I also really like the Asus 96U and 98. Nighthawk also performed well but gave me an issue with the guest account for some reason.

Is that the gaming tp link router that looks like a star wars ship lol , doesn't appear to be out in the UK till mid august, is the re800 WiFi extender out in the USA yet also? @@landpet

Between all the mesh systems that u have tested .. which one has the best range ?
@landpet

I stopped going to max distance, back when I would it was the asus et12 pro. There are problem some newer WiFi 7 versions that can go further I would imagine. You can check my range tests at 100ft but range will vary by location

Piece of JUNK!!! I RMA'd two TP-Link Archer BE800 Wifi 7 because they died. The first one lasted 4 Months, the second one lasted 2 Months. I'm in So California and TP-Link is local (Irvine, CA) so no big deal but Lucky I kept my Trusty ASUS Wifi 6 Router. As we speak the junk pile just got picked up by FedEx and I think I need to go back to ASUS. I have different Routers all over my house and TP-Link is awesome for 95% of the other products I have with them. This New Model Came Out. I had actual STUCK software and locked the router. Now the second one is Eternally Rebooting itself then finally died! It's 2024 and All these companies need to quality test their products better when they charge so much for a BRICK! I might sell this and go back to ASUS. The TP-Link App is just ok, the ASUS App is Gold!!! Btw, I'm an IT Professional so it's NOT the User, Lol!
