Instead of using a step-up cable, you could get a USB-C power bank compatible with Power Delivery (PD), which are very common these days, and then use a PD trigger to trigger the 12V output. Some battery can even output 20V@3A with PD, which gives 60W.

Why wouldn't you just use the URayCoder HEVC Wireless HDMI to H.264 H.265 IP Encoder? It would eliminate the 12V Step Up USB Cable 5.5 2.1mm. It runs on SONY battery F550, F750, F970. Wouldnt need the TP-Link MR6400 Router because you can connect wirelessly. The price of the encoder are about $1 from each other. gopro ------> hdmi -----> uraycoder w/ sony battery pack ----> wifi with srt and hevc ---> nighthawk/cell phone (hotspot) ------> obs on pc or cloud vps server ------> rtmp -----> streaming site (youtube live, twitch, etc)

Looks like the TBS-2603 AU is a more versatile option. It has in and out HDMI and in and out jack's for audio. The last is more practical to connect wireless / dual mic's like the Rode. The USB on it is for recording, so I guess it can not be powered over USB.

okay, not better a small laptop with a powerbunk that will transcode the signal and either send the transmissions directly to the platform or even to a computer at home that will do the whole SRT. seems like they're discontinuing and replacing this TBS encoder part - most of the h265 encoders on market are getting pricier especially newer ones like the TBS2603au. thankfully they're selling a TBS2603V2 (version 2) with an audio jack, drawback is that it weighs ~60% grams more than the original. but then again, any NDI encoder with HDMI, RJ45 port and preferred H.265 should work... right?

Having a KZitem channel based for six years on live irl broadcasts, I do not understand the point of paying so much for such equipment which will prove to be less effective than a simple high-end smartphone, one or two good packages (dual sim), good light, a good external battery and good power cables... I don't understand for a moment why, in 2022, you will have to have a setup worthy of the 90s to be able to stream outdoors. In my experience, the more equipment and electronic intermediaries there are between capture and transmission, the lower the speed. Regarding the reliability of the pairing of the stream camera, it must be catastrophic. If only with a Gopro, outdoor streaming is such a long and complicated ordeal that it disgusts live. Ps: LiveU is clearly a scam made with a technology that has been outdated for six or seven years, if only for the old Sony camera with a small sensor and a small aperture. It's really for people who don't know anything about it and get scammed easily.
