The time came all too soon.
Saying goodbye to Frank and to our Highwood, Montana farm family wasn’t easy.
They never are for me.
There was snow on the Highwood Mountains the morning we pulled out of the drive for the last time.
“Termination Dust” is what daughter #1, Jamie, called it. When I asked what she meant, she replied, “It’s an old Alaskan term. Means it’s time for summer workers to go home. Winter is coming.”
So true!
