I'll explain the funny symbols to confused people. Drums have a very unique and complex notation which takes into account the fact that different elements in a drumset may have the same pitch but different timbres, so it gives the notes unique symbols, the L and R mean left and right, there's also complex tuplets since many drummers are into advanced rhythm music theory, the > and - denote dynamics, with the ^ is I believe a more extreme one, but I may be wrong as I'm a general purpose composer not a drummer, I believe the z in some notes' "pole" (listen idk what the parts of the notes are called ok) is a drum roll but I didn't hear any I think, but the thick lines on the same location definitively are, but the , the little notes with the slash in the ballare grace notes, basically you play them in the shortest duration possible then you play a note after, recommend non-drummers learn it as it's cool, idk what it is on regular sized notes, finally, the "sus shaped notes" at the end simply mean hit with both hands.
Wow, this has really blown up since the last time I checked

You are very talented and impressive but I would like to point out the hi mom 11-8 bar is notated incorrectly from the end of that bar into the next. You stop the lrr pattern early, but it is notated like it doesn’t stop
@Vic9994546
Жыл бұрын
Whoever notated this is a doof just write 9/8 or 3/4 and write in 5 tuplets don’t write those ratio symbols lol that’s absurd
