I would still use Keepass2Android as a main, maybe it's less comfortable in terms of autofill, but it has way more features and i can use proper password manager on a PC.

I can't see how this improves over the password manager I already use - Bitwarden - which is device and OS agnostic.

Once I enable on device encryption, it means that even Google won't be able to see any of my saved passwords right? Even the ones saved on Chrome? Also, is there any information on what kind of encryption algorithm they're using? Would you consider it at least as secure as the mainstream password managers like 1password?

How secure is this? I've been hacked a couple of times. Chrome and Edge are SUPPOSED to be top notch on security, but it does not seem to be the case.

Your title is little confusing that's why many people are saying they have this features for years. You should rename to something different such as "New Update/Features for Google's Chrome Manager! Is it viable replacement for third-party password managers?" or something like that.

I am confused, how is the "on-device encryption" different from the "normal" operation, I need to use Google password to access the passwords on a new device even with the feature off, I can use the screen lock to view the passwords, even when the feature is off. If my "key" is my Google account password, how does it differ from the current state when I need to sign in with my Google account, thus using my Google password as well? Adding passwords directly from the manager is a game changer, now it is a proper manager (I would say still a lightweight password manager).

Im a little confused. I have had this on my Chrome browser (both phone and PC) for literal years. I can't even remember when this wasn't a thing to be honest, and I have used Chrome for a long time.
Is this Chrome password manager as secure as third party sites like Dashlane?

Is there a simple way for this app to generate a password when signing up for a new app or anything that needs a P/W? I'm still using my Blackberry password manager that transferred over to my pixel6. I'm not holding my breath that it will last forever, although i wish it would.

It's built into chrome. So when you're going to create a new account somewhere, there will be a 'suggest new password' option that will come under the 'New password' text box.
