Chromecast is a line of digital media players developed by Google. The devices, designed as small dongles, allow users with a mobile device to initiate and control the playback of audiovisual content transmitted over the internet on a high-definition television or home audio system through mobile or web applications compatible with the technology Google Cast. Alternatively, content can be mirrored from the Google Chrome browser running on a personal computer, as well as from the screen of some Android devices.
Chromecast works connected to the HDMI port of the TV, being powered by the HDMI connection itself (version 1.4 and higher only) or via an AC connection connected to the TV's USB port (if equipped) or connected to the power supply (adapter included) .
The device works in three ways, both with content streaming to the TV. The first uses web applications like Netflix, Hulu Plus, Spotify, KZitem among other web apps. And the second, called "tab casting," can display any type of content accessible in the Google Chrome browser and in conjunction with Google Home devices, you can control the playbacks through voice commands.
