I'm so glad you liked this one! Sad you have the Indian copy, but such a great book, such an overlooked book! It should be reprinted! Stine was off his rocker with this one. Edit: Check out Download and Die! Keith is in the book and you can see some illustrations of him turning himself inside out.

Hell yeah, Kieth supremacy. I really enjoy this one, very effect in its psychological horror. It's able to use dreams well and have some wacky scenes. It sells the idea of a dream better than some others. Keith is a creepy villain, the body horror is great, and the ending adds some extra depth that is fun to think about. It's a last minute great book, just sucks Monster Blood 4 was the one it ended on. With that. Stay out of the basement is the last one, so you get to the end on another one of the best, as well as doing the next to last tV episode you need. Woo hoo. You've done at least 100 at this point lol.

I will never forget this book - so up front, thank you Michael for reviewing this one! Ok, story time! So when I was in Third Grade (back in 2004-2005), our classroom had all the goosebumps books on the low shelves against the wall - and all the boys (myself probably the “ringmaster” of this “movement”), loved them! We couldn’t get enough of them during reading time. As such, at the end of the school year, we got to choose one book to keep, and I remember I got to choose first, and picked GYG’s “Little Comic Shop of Horrors”, as I’d always then and still love DC and Marvel Comics, and Goosebumps (and their knock offs)! This one was a close second for me though. I’d read it near the last day of school and loved it - like, the cover, the characters and plot setup - and that ending! Honestly, I’ll have to go buy this one again, seeing as I have quite a few of the Original Series, GYG (including all the special editions, thankfully), and Series 2000.

I just bought a copy of this book plus 8 more Goosebumps books in a book lot on eBay for only $40. The books appear to be in pretty good shape. I’m excited to read this. God bless you! 🙏🏻

I'm not sure why KZitem recommended me this. I haven't read a goosebumps book since probably 2001. I was always more of an Animorphs kid. I like your videos so here's a like and subscribe.

*SPOILERS*: I actually love the ending. When you read the book for a second time, some subtle things make more sense. Keith actually being the main character, with his monster mom always warning him about not exposing himself to the other kids in fear of being discovered and being chased out of the basement, actually influenced his dreams, the way we have every day things subcontiously affect our own dreams. He dreams about a overprotective mom, whos literally scared of everything her son does, and about a monster that exposes itself to a human, whilst the monster is not fearful for of being caught and is actually being the dominant force in the situation. Masterfully written!

I guess Rl Stine looked at the last few books and decided to correct them Marco waking up from dreams is a better and scarier version of Matt waking up in don't go to sleep.Kieth is a better version of Brent green from my best friend is invisible and the ending of Keith waking up is a better ending of the blob that ate everyone

This is definitely the superior book with those plot devices. Sad it doesn't get reprints or that we never really got another book quite like it. Guess Scholastic decided we need 10 more Slappy books :P

I was excited to read I Live in Your Basement because of the negative reputation it got a couple of years back. I want to be surprised when I read books and this one certainly surprised me. I always find books that I am surprised with more enjoyable than books that I already know are going to be good because I have previously watched the corresponding movie or episode.
