Very well done for picking up on the flicker setting. Most GoPro tutorials either don't mention it or are unaware of it. As a PAL user I was initially quite annoyed by the thought of having to change to 30fps until I found the flicker setting.

Hey Darryl, Thanks for your comment! I'm glad you found that little part of my video helpful. We have PAL here in Australia on our TVs so I thought it was important to point that out. Hope things are going great for your in Thailand. BTW loved your video on the Nuy Bird hide. You had some incredible footage of the birds and mammals you saw there. Loved the little bird that just chilled on your hand too. That's so very cool.

@@AdventureTimMedia Yes... that puff-throated babbler was awesome. I have just arrived at Huai Khayeng Nature Park where I have set up my own water pools and bird hides, and this time I've brought some mealworms.... can't wait to get into the hide tomorrow. Actually, I hope to do some filming in Australia some time. My daughter has just started a degree course at the University of Melbourne, and I'll be over there with her around Jan - Feb next year.

Good luck with your latest shoot. I'm sure you'll get some great footage now you've bought those tasty meal worms along! lol Uni of Melbourne is a really good university that attracts people from all over the world . I hope she's enjoying it there. Melbourne's a very busy city. I used to live there but prefer SA where it's a bit more relaxed . Safe travels and all the best with yr trip to Australia next year.

This is very interesting! Thanks for the helpful review. I have always wanted to purchase a go pro. What is the cheaper end for the latest models? -Emily from VRAfam

Жыл бұрын
Hey Emily! Thanks for your comments. The latest version , the Hero 11( 2022), is currently only $50 AUD more than the Hero 10 ( which came out in late 2021) on gopro.com so I would go with the latest version. it has a bigger sensor and a boatload of great features. I always buy my gopro stuff from their website as it's nearly always cheaper and if you get a subscription you get a range of other great benefits too - like cheaper accessories. I hope this helps

Hey mate! Thanks for watching ! Yeah, the slow mo looks super epic - I really like the 4K at 120fps as it still maintains that top quality in ultra slo mo. Gopro normally release their new models in late September/ early October so if you are thinking the Hero 12 thats when I would expect it to drop. All the best, mate

Do you still need to edit or does slow mo just happen
@AdventureTimMedia
9 ай бұрын
Hey Kky1970! If you play it back in your camera it will just appear at normal speed. If you play it in Quick Time on your Mac or PC it will normally slow down to the speed you recorded it at. I do all my slow mo work in the edit suite. I import the footage from my SD card - which is in normal speed - and then I will slow it down to the rate I need it to be. The higher the frame rate, the better ( and smoother ) your footage will look when you slow it down. I hope this helps. Thanks for your comment and for checking out my channel!

Hello, I take my videos in slow mo mode but when I play the video it looks normal how am I gonna get slow mo video???
@AdventureTimMedia
Жыл бұрын
Hey user-zd3cf8fm4w ! Thanks for watching. If your video plays back at normal speed when the SD card is in the camera - and sometimes after you put it in your PC - don't be too alarmed. The high frame rate allows you to slow it down in post production to the speed that you want it to be. I find that for me it plays normal speed when I view it in the camera but on my mac it plays at a slower speed in Quick time. Then it plays at normal speed in my editing program ( which is Filmora). The higher frame rate lets you slow it down to the speed you want without losing quality. I hope this helps. Any more questions, feel free to hit me up. All the best.

Hey Nico. From the video screen, tap on the oblong , and then scroll to the bottom and you will see Ultra Slo Mo. Use the pencil to select your settings. When you playback your recording it may play back in real time on your gopro, but it should play back in slo mo when you put it on your PC. hope this helps.

Hey Leigh, thanks for your message. If you are playing back the footage in the camera you will probably find it is playing in real time. Once you download it to your PC/ Mac it should playback in slow motion or you can put it into your editing software and adjust the speed as I did in this video. The higher frame rate let's you playback you footage at a slower rate that will look buttery smooth. I hope this helps.
