Checking out a couple of new(ish) items here... The Schecter Banshee Mach 7 guitar, and the Master Effects Marauder distortion pedal. I already made a video with the Marauder pedal, but it was more of a hard rock kind of demo. The pedal works great for those tones, but of course, we all want to hear the METAL! So the Marauder is based off of the old "Teal-Stripe" Peavey Bandit 112 and Supreme 160 amps. (They are the same circuit, just the Bandit was a lower wattage and came in a 1x12 combo.) They are extremely underrated amps that sound excellent for basically any kind of guitar playing, but especially great for metal!
An interesting side note is that Tomas Skogsberg in Sweden used a blue stripe Bandit in the early days of Sunlight Studios, and recorded a ton of legendary bands through that amp (Entombed, Dismember, etc).
And likewise, Pytten, in Norway, also tracked many of his recordings through a blue stripe Bandit 112 as well. (Emperor, Immortal, etc.)
The Schecter Mach 7 is a new model for 2020, and wow, one of my new favorite guitars! Incredible feel and tone from this thing, couldn't be happier with it!
